Latest CMC has gone a little crazy. Nice if it happened though.

yeah here's hoping Simmo..the surface is drying out down here but I'm sure we dont quite need it as bad as you ..

Anything green up your way or only where you have sprinklers on..?...

and yep those darn models again..hopefully this coming season they will not tease us so much as we hopefully transition into more normal wet seasons again..

Warm one in Mareeba today hey Simmo! If you get 5mm next week, I'd be very impressed.

We've been having proper cool days here, til about 1.30ish. Then it gets very warm. Bit strange, it'd normally be a steady increase of heat through the morning, but they've remained cool.

No green around at all Scott. Even starting to have trouble keeping the back lawn green. The small areas I irrigate for the animals are being destroyed by wallabies and kangaroos. They have definitely increased and are becoming a real problem. The races have been all but cancelled this weekend due to track conditions from wallabies digging.

Was a warm one RF. I maxed at 32.2c
Yeah I am not holding my breath for rain, especially anything significant. Biboohra has only exceeded 20mm in September 7 times in 70 years. Will see what the models say on Sunday.

This morning has shown improvement for possible rainfall totals. BOM's rainfall maps are similar to GFS.
BOM here
GFS here

CMC shows more widespread rain with less intense totals, the best outcome if it happens as a lot of the tropical north gets a decent drop
CMC here

I dont think Hickory believes the models Ron..haha..once bitten, twice shy maybe..

Simmo there has been a wallaby cull at Sth Mission for a few years now as they were virtually destroying the vegetation of the whole village and driving the local dogs mad..might be time to go all Rambo on them up there mate..!

No doubt this rain event will precipitate a mass March Fly hatching later on next week and the week after...that will take some getting used to again..

The Marchies seem to have started already, seems there is a steady stream of them now.
Maybe the Ying and Yang? last year they were 2 weeks late, this year 2 weeks early.

I can feel the rain, but its' just not here. Nice and grey, yellow light, blustery winds with that pre-storm feel.
Radar shows a few little patches to the south of us.
Sky still looks interesting.

31-ish tops. Nice comfortable day temp wise. Cool now at 28 degrees...

Cairns radar is out, no reason for outage.
Just when you smell a bit of water in the air, and it was working earlier and showed rain nearby. Not that I think it will actually rain, just wishful thinking.

Had a few spots on the windscreen between Speewah and Kuranda earlier, enough for one flick of the wipers, but looked like it cleared up this arvo

I hope we will DU. I think we will definitely get some rain.
This mornings BOM has gone down to 25-50mm.
GFS, I think, is a little over optimistic with pretty much all of the tablelands, including Mareeba, getting around 100mm click here
CMC have dialed it right back with the highest falls being around 40-50mm around the usual Tully Innisfail area.

Time will tell

Nice to be back to some rain forecast in the next few days. Looks like Tuesday might be the best day.

Pretty dry over in Canada in most places left and it was 29c.
