Oh, it was cold in Montreal and Quebec City when I was there a fortnight ago - days down to 21C and nights 8C. Brrrr....

Welcome back DU and HF, hope your travels went well. Is that 2mm for this month HF? If so your doing well smile
Didn't clean my gutters yet Mr D, looking a bit chockers when I got one of the kids balls this morning.

Yeah, and go Cowboys!

No RF, that was from last month at the very beginning. I haven't recorded any rain since August 19th when I left to go overseas. Pretty dry around the place!

It was good watching all the live action on TV from Hurricane Irma when I was over there. Looks like that area is firing up again. It will be interesting to see what our cyclone season will be like this year?

We will have to wait for BOM's crystal ball in the coming months to let us know our cyclone forecasts wink

There is good agreement in the models this morning about how much rain will fall. Cairns through to Mareeba getting 25-50mm with the usual spots just south getting up to 100mm.
Lets see what actually falls now. Looking forward to a wet night grin

Hopefully Bilyana will score something out of this. Has been a very dry September so far, August was below average as well.

Light drizzle just started at Holloways.
Been a while since I've enjoyed the smell of rain.

Only very light rain here so far but yes the smell was wonderful and the pitter patter on the roof and foliage is pretty nice tonight too..

It sure would be great to see a widespread event throughout the district..

How was the trips HF and DU..any nice photos to show or bear encounters to tell of..?

I'm envious.

According to this
http://www.bom.gov.au/jsp/watl/rainfall/pme.jsp
we should be getting our share tomorrow, but not holding my breath.

However I have an item of furniture on the front deck, that I can't cover properly, so that might encourage it to actually rain.

The rain here has been continuos since it started.
Going on for 3 hours now. Been nearly 9 weeks since I've had the mowerman around. Simply nothing to mow,- but this might change things.
The poor buggers must just about go on bread and water in the dry, dry seasons.
