Yeah same. There was no recorded rain or storms here yesterday and last night, so my 5% chance of storms here was spot on. And no rain with that southerly change either. Btw, hopefully the rains you speak of this weekend do eventuate. Certainly looks possible for the coast with synoptic NE winds (not seabreeze NEers) for a few days so that should build some moisture up.

PS: Yay Coastal Storm!!! What a huge dump.

PPS: Nice pic Eddy.

There was rain in the Illawarra; it may have missed AP gauge but Kiama recorded 0.2mm and there were heavier falls along the coastal strip from Oak Flats / Warilla through to Wollongong, with the roads being wet. Radar also confirmed this.

The 0.2mm was actually recorded at 10am yesterday so in that case there was no recorded rain. But you are right there was some rain, but gee it was hardly worth mentioning.

Lovely photo Eddy smile

Well guess what!!!!!

We had some stormy precip yesterday evening from around 6.30 to 9.30pm. Ended up with around 7mm or thereabouts. With Sundays rain of a whole 5mm we are positively drowning out here shocked smile

Very nice to stand in, listen to and smell. grin

A very big fog out here this morning - still in place actually.

Heading for 25 later when the fog clears.

It's a hard life on the coast isn't it Eddy!!

The fact that I still have my storm signature up from last season tells it all!

Haha, it is indeed, especially when Bathurst is out doing the coast in all departments, storms, rainfall, max temp and sunshine!! poke laugh

Its time for you to reset the storm signature, hopefully it wont stay on zero for very long.

I did fail to mention yesterday, I did see three very distant bolts out to sea, about 80ks out.

At least we now have signs of change - gives a bit of hope. Still not getting carried away, we may still have a below average precip month BUT it's sol nice to know it is still possible to experience a storm or some precip.

Hopefully we ALL get some rain/storm action increasingly over the coming weeks. smile

Yeah I honestly forgot the signature was there until this morning. Gone now smile

Walking back to the car after a swim yesterday, I noticed an interesting patch of green grass next a tap that must get regular use.

Mild and overcast here, with a couple of sunny breaks earlier. There were a few light showers on the upper North Shore and Northern Beaches yesterday and overnight, but most of Sydney remains stubbornly dry. Sydney OH is tracking about half a degree above the October means for min and max so far this month.

There are lots of places around Sydney that look like WR's picture.

I don't expect more than a few drops from today's cloud, but the models do show a changing pattern, with the highs shifting further South and more inland and coastal troughs. So far, the rain has stayed mostly Northwards, but that will change soon.

Pffft! I got double that and my manual back up Nylex confirms this.

Of course, it is wetter here as I am further north than Lane Cove and therefore closer to the Equator. poke

Nice fluctuation in temps this week, only just over 20C with a SE airflow.
Overcast, but still no rain today, only that 0.2mm yesterday night.
Straight back into the 30s again tomorrow though, and dry.

Bloody hell it was a dismal day today. But these days will be much appreciated in mid-summer if there are persistent hot temperatures again like last season.
