Almost looks like a broad area of low pressure over SE QLD. Storms off shore moving south and storms inland almost look to be moving north a bit. Storms on the Downs not making much progress at all towards the east.

If you did, then why the hell did you say, "it seems anyone who dares question the brilliant elite get surgically and brutally destroyed." ???

You specifically said in your own words, "Looks like this event is collapsing before our eyes." THAT is what I was responding to.

I'm sick of the same old tiring situation where it seems fine to constantly label every event a failure (which IS warranted if it actually is a failure) simply based on the "it didn't happen in my backyard so it didn't happen" mentality but as soon as anyone questions whoever does it, they're somehow labelled 'part of the elite', 'beyond question', etc etc.

I also specifically said, "but I like to judge events on their merits by acknowledging the areas that lived up to expectations and areas that didn't, rather than judging whether the whole event itself was a "success" or "failure" simply based on what happened in just a certain or favourite location/area."... which means, not ignoring any areas for which the event didn't live up to expectations. But at the end of the day, there will almost always be areas which get far less than others in any event even multiple times in a row. That is the nature of weather.

Let's just get back to talking about weather events and actually make an effort to try and understand why something did or didn't happen without having to constantly resort to this.

Could more knowledgeable members please give your take on the next couple of days in the south east. Seems to be troughs, upper lows etc going in all directions. Thanks in advance. PS won't hold you to it haha

Oh, Ken why did you say all this. As much as I keep saying it was past events I was talking about you keep blasting me saying I was talking about this event. But that is the way you and cf operate, constantly saying the same false things destroying anybody who dares speak up. I have openly confessed my regret at past posts but for the first time, I admit I was trying to get banned but it did not work. I have noticed complaining about this event even from people also who live in that unmentionable area but you attack me. Is it because I do not grovel at your greatness. No wonder there has been a mass desertion of posters Over the years.I am shaking so much I can hardly type, and it is from pure fear. Weatherzone forum is a vile cesspool of arrogance and brutality. I was actually enjoying this event until now.

I think social media has got a lot to do with people expressing there disappointment when it comes to certain weather events not eventuating in there area etc. You kind of have to wonder well before the internet days, were people disappointed or upset if a certain weather event didn't eventuate?? I think not to be honest.

Of course, we were disappointed but probably accepted it better. as I have always stated I was always happy and still am about what I have received. I supposed at least the people of those areas can see the contempt that the vastly superior coastal people have for them.

No Hopefull, you were not just talking about past events when you said what you did - you said this a few days ago, "for some parts, every event has been a failure, and this one is perhaps the most monumental." - I've highlighted "this" in bold.

And there you go once again, labelling and pigeon-holing anyone and everyone who just happens to live on the coast away from the Downs as showing contempt and being "vastly superior". And yet again, you also label anyone who tries to point out your sheer inability to read what a forecast is actually going for (which isn't exactly rocket science) as elitist.

Have you ever wondered that maybe it's people like YOU and your incessant whining, bitching and negative attitudes who've been helping to accelerate the social-media induced mass desertions from this forum?? People have complained about this in the past before.
Oh but no, it can't possibly be you, it has to be someone else.
And then you play the usual innocent victim card "Oh I was simply trying to..." or "people have put me in my place"... then you do it all over again a few weeks later.

I'm definitely no angel on here either and I wish I could've worded a number of my posts better but really, there comes a point when enough's enough. You'll be glad to know I'm joining that exodus and I'm done with these forums. Bye.

P.S. I've always wondered if your username of "Hopefull" was supposed to be some kind of ironic twist to your general attitude towards weather. As someone else said, maybe you should change it.

Please Ken do not let some ignorant and self obsessed fools deter you being a contributor to these forums.
You are a widely loved poster on here and bring invaluable experience and information.
Ignore the trolls and please continue to do what you do best.
You have a lot to offer.
I fully support you stance against the whinging. It is tiresome, repetitive and boring.
Please hang around.

Please allow me to interject here for one moment.

Hopefull - I don't post here anymore because of the negativity from whingers like you who seem more worried about their version of "the darling downs" not getting rain than anything else. It's an area that climatically speaking will ALWAYS get much less rain than the coastal places. What about the poor farmers?? Well they will remain poor; the well-off farmers have worked out how to be successful out there.
People should look up the dictionary explanation of "forecast" it means an educated, best guess. It's not set in stone, and to constantly whine at the forecaster is NOT going to change what eventuates.

Your "poor, poor, pitiful me " passive aggressive posts stick in my throat so much you have been on "ignore this user" for quite sometime now, because I want to read information & discussion not whinging. But still you taint the discussion in the replies that have been made to you.

And finally, you made a mistake when making your forum name; no it's not the teeth grinding spelling mistake of using 2 "L" s. It's that your name has become an oxymoron - should have been Hopeless not Hopefull .... ugh even spell check hates that one!
