Storms have formed in the NW slopes and plains around Moree in single digit dewpoints, so I have hope that there will be something tomorrow too.

Recon its always better to be proactive than reactive. That goes with many things other than weather. Warned before is better than not warned at all but complaceny sets in when nothing happens. At least people get a heads up that something is up & the whingers need to pull their heads in if no houses get blown away.
In the case of that OTHER guy that takes peoples money on IMO apparent false pretences with dubious qualifications.
The reality is he can do as he pleases. People need to shunt his F.B. page but then again, the average yokel is
not very smart and appears to have lots of money, much like a sheep with a thick coat!
Bring it on tomorrow I say, but leave my house alone!

Excited to see what tomorrow brings, but kind of worried at the same time as I know I will be on the road when things kick off.

Latest GFS brings seabreeze just that further bit inland and actually increases helicity a little across SEQ.

EC has very little morning cloud for the SE Coast district but latest ACCESS-R tries to bring a bit of cloud/precip from the Downs across southern parts of SEQ between around 8am and 11am with bit of precip.

But regardless of either scenario, still not enough to stop storms.

Fast moving line SW of Roma / Mitchell at the moment but seems to be disintegrating rapidly and might not make it here

Just looking at the Satellite + Zehr and those storms that passed the NSW coast this morning had -50C in the uppers.Looked like some decent storms down that way early this morning.

Waiting for the Sounding after 11:00am to see what its like up there for our turn today if everything comes together.

Well, cloudiness doesn't seem to be an issue so far.... Beautiful day outside.

Same here Mad, quite gusty at times. A nice day really comfort wise. Looks like the trough is just west of Gundi according to Windy.com. No real signs of any build-up at the moment around here or off to the west. Midday is fast approaching. Maybe a bit later than originally expected? I thought around 1300 for this area?

Nah it's still 11:30am, seeing activity on radar or even buildups in this kind of setup with drier low levels this early isn't too common.

Yup, understand Ken, I have seen days like this before. When it happens, it happens rapidly. Looking forward to whatever happens.

With the importance of the seabreeze today and the speed of the storms, I wouldn't want to see activity start until as late as possible to maximise potential. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a later start and arrival to storms than anticipated too.

Bit of capping around today going to need about 33c I think..should be easily reached.
Nice looking dry slot at 500hpa as well on the BNE sounding.
