Storm now severe right over Karrara! Warnings have been issued for Bony Mountain, Greymare and Thanes Creek. Rumbles heard here. Allora has storms approaching their area.

Allora getting heavy rain and Clifton about to get smashed! They had 4 consecutive storms roll through their area last storm event. Looks like the activity has missed Warwick again. Let us hope tonight or tomorrow produces something or that will be it for at least another week.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 4:05 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar. Thunderstorms are moving towards the northeast. They are forecast to affect Allora and Clifton by 4:30 pm and Border Ranges National Park by 5:05 pm.
Damaging winds and large hailstones are likely.

Well there we are ---- again and again ---- Warwick Eye. Zip and more zip. And again on a Sunday after copious prayers and offerings. We miss the wet stuff but at least glad to see others getting a bit of action. Every day going without brings us a day closer to a day of plenty. I recall years ago when Warwick was the epicentre for storms on the Southern Downs. WTF!!

Very confusing indeed signalman. At least we know it CAN happen here in Warwick. I remember the hailstorm we received on Nov. 29 2 years back that left hail drifts on the southern side of my house! Very strong winds too! It was mainly on the western side of town but. Hopefully the epicentre shifts back our way soon. Right now it appears to be over Clifton. Yes, I also have hope our turn is coming. Lots of activity to our SW near Texas looks pretty solid at the moment. I would love to see a good night storm, or even just a heavy rain event. Models, especially GFS has been consistent over the past 2 days of around 50mm out this way, so we will see.....

Stanthorpe looks to be in the firing line as big storms now pounding Texas. Activity does not extend far enough north at the moment to have any impact here. Still waiting............

Thought we in for a chance but it died in the bum over Gatton. Looked good on Stapy but ordinary looking to the S from here.

Amazing how how a nice fat cell like that collapses. Like someone hit it with a hose.

Shame it didn't clear sooner. It's blocking the view of the awesome lightning of the Beaudesert supercell.

I wonder if there'll be much of Byron left after that cell has gone through. Fat black core.

Storm's inflow has been choked. All done now for areas north of the border I suspect.

Monday looks promising for some night action for SEQ. Tuesday could have been a real cracker but the southerly pushes to Brisbane by midday leaving SC, WBB and Capricornia with the action. Models have been having trouble locking down the timing though so might not be all over yet.

89mm falling in 54 minutes at Ballina Airport (7:06pm to 8:00pm), with a lazy 58.4mm in 20 minutes (7:10pm to 7:30pm).

A bit southwards of the main activity here today, with the onshore SE'ly increasingly establishing itself. Still managed a gentle thunderstorm rolling through here this evening though.
