Coldfronts neighbourhood has copped it hard. It is also where my daughter lives.

Poor kid came over a hill to find traffic stopped on the road. Brakes locked up, or she aquaplaned, straight into the back of the ute in front of her. Luckily mumma bear made sure she had insurance when she bought the car. Even better no one was injured or killed.

Hail has started here and the son did the bolt to cover his car with my blankies to protect it. He carries minimal insurance.

And I have 2 stupid dogs in the house.

I saw a heap here earlier. All gone now.

The lightning is quite a far way ahead of the rain.

Also looks like north west of westwood is getting a good bit of hail.

I will expect the storm front to split soon.

Certainly copped it. Most of Bundy is belted. 100 year old trees down. The road home has poles and wires down for 1/2 a kilometre as does Gooburrum Rd. Cane trains derailed, roofs gone and significant plantation damage.

Son rang his mate to see how they fared. They have the neighbours fence in their yard but otherwise fine.

You probably know Moorlands Rd I am guessing BB. The tree damage along the first 300-400 mtrs off Rosedale Rd is mind blowing. This is the same path as knocked over the power poles on Moore Park Beach Rd and Gooburrum Rd, turned a semi traler on its side and derailed a cane train.

I travelled part of that road this morning to come home after spendign the night with the daughter. Turn off onto Quinns though as it is shorter.

The kids had to travel that way home from town. Poor daughter is so upset after having run into the parked car. Whilst she is 'at fault' it might not have happened had the car she hit had hazard lights, tail lights or brake lights on.

It has been quite breezy/gusty here all day with enough showers to keep the washing wet.

I wonder how Coldfront is going. His area is still without power. Daughter darling was taking all her meat from the freezer and running it into town to another mates freezer since she hasn't got a working genny. I have a spare at home but she thinks it quicker to move food than drive the hour and half to pick it up.

All good at home but what a mess just out of here. We are glad the worst avoided us. Here is a snap off my phone of the approaching storm that did all the damage around Bundy.

Daughter has spent the day helping to remove sheds off her work farm. Theirs. Neighbours. Tin everywhere.

She had yesterday off after being pretty shaken by her accident. The panel beaters must be loving it. She has her car booked for early next month for repairs. She was there at 8am and whilst she was there another 3 cars came for quotes. It would have been a constant parade all day.

I am over this darn wind. Pup keeps barking, which she rarely does, because there are sudden noises around the place. Those sudden noises are just branches falling but she is doing her guard dog bit by alerting me to an unusual noise.

It rained yesterday/last night. Of course when it started hubby was up on the tinned roof shed, power cord, gurney in hand cleaning the gutters.

Ended up with a lovely 22ml. My place is greener than ever with grass actually growing instead of just being 'green'.

Drizzly rain this morning. Of course I have a clothes line full of now wettish washing that was dry when I came home yesterday but was too stuffed to bother to bring in. I also left all my clients work clothes I washed for him on his line. They weren't dry though. Oh well. Nothing I can do about it but enjoy the thought of the garden picking up a bit of moisture.

We got one of these last month. Really easy to put up and means the washing can stay out if it rains

Looks like some wet stuff coming tomorrow.

I get the feeling this summer might be wetter than last year and perhaps not as hot . I may be wrong... but I remember so many days of 30 in Yeppoon last summer, it was crazy.

Day isn't over but with 95 percent chance of showers you would think something is going to fall soon? Maybe tonight?

Just had another 17mm fall. Last week a few km away had 50mm.

Lots of small isolated storms, the sort of thing our location seems to get/

Yes just started here in the last 10 mins or so .

This month and last month have been decent for rain. Anyone reckon this will continue into Dec and Jan ? I feel like a different summer to last year is coming?

November has seemed pleasant , Rocky temps haven't been extreme either.

Neighbour just posted we have had 33ml overnight. I have to rely on him because of course I had the fencers start on my houseyard yesterday, pull down the old one and put up a new one, and of the rain gauge normally lives on one of the posts they have pulled out.

So looks like I will be juggling dogs for a bit to ensure they all get free time in the front yard which hasn't been pulled out yet.
