Coming over now smile quite surreal watching the moon rise to the east while in heavy rain. And a flash to the SE

Good ol Gordonvale. Storm centre of the Cairns region. I had to check the radar upon reading this as I had no idea what was coming. And it does look to be splitting for me unfortunately. Hopefully a few closer rumbles than last night at least

50!!!. Wow. I didn't even look but i would guess no more than 20 or so. I'll take it though. These consistent falls are meaning i don't have to top up the pool much compared to last year

Yeah, I had an earlier cell pop over the city and dumped 20mm in the gauge. The 2nd one dumped 30mm.

Didn't get more than a light sprinkle, so haven't bothered to check the gauges. :-/

A perfectly cloudless sky.

Quite a few new fires have sprung up to the west of Chillagoe and Crystalbrook, out along the Tate River. Makes for a grey sky in the west with a very red sun.
