8mm Sth Mission. Mostly in a heavy fall this morning.
The air is very heavy today, not much breeze as yet. Boats will be on the move this weekend for sure.

Finished November with 27.4mm in the gauge. Average min 19.0c Average max 29.7c A bit of useless info. 2015 and 2016 average max was 32.2c and 32.5c respectively. Apart from yesterdays max of 34c the second highest temp for the month was 31.7c, not even as high as the previous 2 years average. 0.8mm to start December

Yeah - seems they're dropping the 7-day and going back to 5-days?

Yeah - seems they're dropping the 7-day and going back to 5-days? Maybe they think they have better odds of being even remotely close to what actually transpires, (maybe) once in 5 days rather than once in 7 days.

I think you may be right Hickory..especially since they have halved the "rain amount" for Sunday and Monday since YS posted just a few hours back......5 days might save some embarrassment for the Bom forecasters..Given the dynamic nature of rainfall in my region in particular they should come up with a better forecasting system for the tropics..its currently rubbish...

I must admit though,- that would be one of the hardest areas in FNQ to guesstimate an outcome.

Yeah, i think you take most forecasts with a grain of sale...err pinch of salt...err a kg of salt....
Earlier in the week they had Sunday as a 90% chance of 1-5mm.
Maybe they are trying to tell us something? that Tuesday is our last day? another day has disappeared from the forecast....

Rescue chopper has just landed down the street. Dunno what's happening, no doubt I'll find out soon enough.
Bit of excitement for sleepy Sth Mission

Seems it was a dive accident off the islands here. Young bloke dragged out of water unconscious. Still unconscious when flown out. Doesn't look good.

The hubby and I cut back all the hedges and did a full backyard clean up! No green ants - not a single one. This is very wierd - I know they are the sign of a good garden but are they sparse everywhere?
Hoping for a good storm today...

It's a glassout on the water this morning. Gonna be a rough day at work methinks.
