Overnight low of 12.4C, reached a warm and mostly sunny (but with coolish breezes) top of 22.2C here in Belgrave today. Currently around 16C.

Collected a total of 2.1mm of rain in the 24 hours to 9am; the cold front itself swept through Melbourne early this morning, producing another band of surprisingly heavy showers and thunderstorms around 7:30amish. The storms dumped another 1.1mm of rain on top of the 1mm from yesterday evening's shower and storm activity. No thunder or lightning that I can recall this morning though, but ah well. smile

Sat photos show the front and rain band well off east coast - certainly moved fast.

Yep they upgraded the radar to do a Vertical scan as well as the Horizontal scan of the atmosphere. So now the radar will be able to see the Density (horizontal scan) which shows rain intensity and the Shape (Vertical and Horizontal combined) which shows the shape of the droplet. Now we can tell if it is Rain, Hail or even smoke.

Ta DWM.

Today here, it was mostly sunny, got to 23.5C at some stage, but cool under the influence of a "wannabee" easterly seabreeze, ....and almost "cold" out now while the BBQ warms!

Sunny mild day. Very little, variable, wind though a hint of easterly sea breeze at time in the arvo. A little convection apparent from some build-up of convective clouds over the mountains.

Fine sunny 30C here today, seabreeze was late and light, ...but still enough to quench away some promising Cu development early arvo.

I've been away for a week. Apparently we've had 13mm here for the week - which is a lot less than many localities - but a sight better than nothin' a'tall. Place felt fresh when we arrived back this arvo.

Another warm dry day up here with a max
Of 28c.

Missed all of the storm action yesterday it
All went to the north of us along the main
Range and into Melb!!

No real rain in sight for my area and more
Warm dry weather ahead!

Ground is rock hard now and things are
Just starting to go off now!

Sitting on 24mm so far this month, well
Short of the 88mm average

Glad we could be of service (even if I can't claim I organized it personally). From the ENE *is* unusual. From what I saw while away, the slide from the NW to the SE was not occurring.

Thanks in advance if you're aware smile .
