we had some very strong winds at mount warren park - thought the neighbour was going to lose his garden shed roof - seems to have settled a bit now - but still windy - a few spits of rain and very dark ...... hate storms like this! oh and there's a rumble or 2 now ....

Gust fronts dropped substantially as the storms moved over the water. Summer's here!

There were strong wind gusts here north of Beenleigh, I was in my car at Holmview and parts of trees were going everywhere, some rain but not a lot. It seems to be cooler now, winds seemed to be coming from south west.

Sun is poking through at times turning the day into a sauna again. Gusty winds here earlier as well with a tree over part of Gatton Esk Rd this morning.
Looking dark again to the west.

Was working at Stones Corner today and only copped the wind everyone else has mentioned, aswell as about a dozen rain drops, heard thunder a few times but tggat was it. Just got home and checked the rain gauge and appears as though Salisbury got the same, 0.0mm in the gauge

Yeah, Stappy turned off & on : I reckon so grin they/it tends to happen 7/10 times a weather system comes on like this - they're 'toying'with us - me say's, its a complete conspiracy grin

Noice pics of the guster front there Ken, thanx for shairin'/postin' em up & a 'shout-out' for all your input as always cool

Interesting point Mega - seemed to me them 500mb winds just sucked what little moisture there was straight up & out the gutz of the action, and now left it there and blanket us !!!

Hopfully tomoz - models have this cloud peeíng-off midday'ish, down GC & border anyway, a little later for Briz - which only leaves a small window for extra heating. That said, moisture levels look much better tomoro, Cape is stronger, and the 'Totals/Totals' are healthier than today aswell.

I like the better defined trough happening just after midday with a westerly movement there-after, & this suggests 'to me?' that there will be only one line of chance storms, thou be it, with a little more Ooomph - if they get going ? which they should, touch wood cool

Hope to be out infront of them with the camera - got nothing betterra to do smile

Nice heavy shower dropped 7mm here about an hour ago smile
Sun was out afterwards for a bit but clouded in again now. Looking particularly dark to the west, almost looks like a squall line consolidating west of chinchilla on the gympie radar. Should be interesting to watch over the next few hours..

Today has been a complete joke so far unless you're a fan of mild atmospheric flatulence.

Tomorrow has huge potential. I just hope it doesn't fall flat like it did today.

Those particular ones were all from the South Brisbane Storms facebook page so probably a lot quicker and easier to share them from there.
