Hi all,

I've been told to watch Wednesday night and early morning Thursday for dry lightning storms.

And Monday/Tuesday next week for a big Low and cold front from the deep arctic.

Both just a watch *at this stage* and not to be taken with anything less than a pinch of salt :-)

yes doesnt look bad at all late tonight and into the early hours. Should be some high based activity around - just depends exactly where.

Not convinced about next week though - certainly looks like a couple of hot days though.

in fact, BOM have just revised forecast for Adelaide to include the Slight (20%) chance of a shower and possible thunder in the late afternoon and evening.

I believe it's a question of magnitude [of rainfall].

Somewhere in SA seems likely to experience dewpoints of 18-22 deg C in the next 2-3 days, most probably moving west-to-east.

Monday night the next chance and prob a better chance than the others given this time we have stronger dynamics at play, better shear right through the profile providing huge lift, very intense uplift from the size of the jet through the mids and uppers and the upper trough behind. Often a hot day ends in a thundery change, definitely solid over west atm and later tomorrow sliding below us....monday seems to fire up as dark approaches and increases near us overnight before sunrise tuesday. Not a lot in it but something to be had and to look out for.

TS cool
