An interesting front with considerable moisture come through yesterday. A band of pre-frontal showers formed over Eyre Peninsula and gave quite nice falls to the mid north around 10-15mm but unfortunately again missed the Adelaide area. Skies looked threatening prior to the front early afternoon but again falls were very light in the Adelaide area around 1-2mm. Adelaide is sitting on 524mm for the year 28mm short of the average which may be quite hard to get with the current next 2 weeks not looking that favourable. The current La Nina pattern certainly seems to be emerging with rainfall favouring the Eastern States and very heavy December totals in Canberra, Melbourne and Hobart and good totals in Eastern South Australia. Indian Ocean Temps need to be more favourable for Adelaide to get increased rains.
