Couple of trees up rooted, 1 down near Matso's. Town beach sails still on the playground.

Haha, Son happy, they cancelled his shift as they are closing at 3pm now. Rain has all but stopped, a bit windier now. Hope we get some more rain. Fun times. House opened, love not having the air con on.

Decent rain band about to come through, wind should pick up quite a bit from there. Would like to see the LLC moving farther to the west to get over water and charge it up a bit.

Yep Ningergirl it is awesome, we feel very spoilt for our visit to Broome. Bet your son is happy he gets the day off smile

Just looking at the past 6hrs of radar there is a clear turn for the south west though which is promising. Once it gets over water it should crank up quick.

Technical info 3.30 from Bom

REMARKS:
Low centre located using Broome radar. Dvorak has been done despite the system
being overland but current intensity is based on surface obs. 135.8mm of
rainfall was recorded from 0900 Tuesday to 0809 Wednesday [AWST]. Close by at
Cygnet Bay a total of 292mm was recorded in the 24 hours to 9am Wednesday 27th.

Model guidance is consistent in indicating a south southwest track, swinging
southerly and then southeasterly. If the system maintains recent southerly
motion for the next few hours it will have limited opportunity to develop. SSTs
and shear are favourable and the limiting factor is likely to be time over
water.

Not really, I have seen some intense inland lows show great structure, there was one around Katherine in the NT years ago that was below 980hpa and looked amazing on sat.

Welcome Hilda, though your time will be short lived, I have enjoyed your presence in Broome even if you bought down a few trees I was rather fond of......Dead calm right now? In the eye?

128km/hr winds must have done it ...

Paddles from the kayak flew off the rafters and onto the car ..
