This is my little reward Kino, for spending 4 days at the mother in laws for xmas Haha. I've been quite surprised at those storms today on the mid north coast and the upper Hunter. Same here in Sydney Kino. 8/8 cloud cover and cool south easterlies. Quite enjoying the break from the heat. Yesterday was just perfect for a hot Christmas lunch and dinner. Today is just perfect for laughing at the Poms in the cricket.

Interestingly winds have turned more easterly now (as forecast for Syd to Hob race) and much warmer (mid-20’s). Still 7/8 with patches of 6/8 to north.

Going to surpass warners score soon up here homer j. Coming down again with thunder about. Some pretty good rainfall figures up there Quagy. Some thunder as well. Enjoy! Some pretty good figures coming out of Melbourne as well at the cricket. One of the funniest moments ever for the Poms re Warner's ton. The Poms just keep on giving this season. Lol. Still completely overcast here and coolish, although the temp has rocketed up to 21.3.

Interesting report from the Port Macqarie area Quag. Once again, the NZ Met chart gives a good idea of what's going on, a stalled front crossing the coast near Port Macquarie: It looks like this produced slow moving storms near the trough line, with warm unstable tropical air to the North and cool, dank, stable air to the South. In Sydney it's been a rerun of yesterday weatherwise, slightly warmer but overcast with no rain and no visible evidence that anything exists beyond the grey dome.

There's no mention of showers in the Sydney forecast for this evening, but there's clearly showers crossing the basin on the radar.

Same here...nice warm fat drops too Sounds like the BOM have let down the Mid North Coast as well, according to Seabreeze's post in the SE QLD forum. All on holidays? Not good enough tbh.

Actually, I've just checked the radar again for the first time for a while and there's some decent showers pushing through the southern metro. May I ask what these people get paid for? No metro forecast update.

Some great weather for the Sydney to Hobart, looking forward to the start, and the run down the coast. I'll be sailing a virtual yacht in a sailing game for the race. That sounds pretty cool! 82mm today at Taree, not a bad fall there.

Was hit by one of them. Just some heavy drizzle sort of a shower for a few mins. Probably got a few .1 mm's or so. Holsworthy which is a few kms from me recorded 0.4mm.
