200mm below average here (900~mm cf 1147 avg) but 300mm behind last year. Take the 150mm March fall and the 82 from Nov out and it was a very dry year.

With the sun getting close to its lowest ebb in a year or so, your wets should start to pick again as the sun starts to pick up again - as has happened over the past 4 decades.

Very Dry year except Debbie's Rain normally we have rain until July. The March rainfall is only what I measured I had three rain gauges one went under flood water on the creek. The Old Davis Died 5hrs into the serious rain and the old nylex blew over and was righted when I could (Possibly not clipped in correctly by the operator).

Wettest year: 3011.2mm (over 191 raindays) in 1950

Brief summary:
2017 was a fairly wet year overall, and the wettest year since 2011. A coastal trough / ECL combination and then Ex-TC Debbie made for a very wet March. Coastal troughing lead to a wet June, and numerous thunderstorms resulted in a very wet December. July, August and September were the only truly dry months of the year. Every other month of the year fell somewhere in-between slightly below average to well above average. A high number of raindays too, with it being the highest since 1999 (176 raindays).
It was a stormy year as well. The outbreak of thunderstorms over the Christmas period was a particular highlight. As you'd expect, the traditionally more stormy months delivered nicely for thunderstorms.

The weather at Manilla NSW in December was remarkably similar to that in December last year. It was hot by day and night, and a bit dry.
The year 2017 was the third hottest since 2000, and one of four extremely dry years in that period (but only 2002 had a drought).
