A Hot start to the day in Bentley P. 31'c at 8.30am, hopefully some rain today will quench the browning lawn.

Its windy, its the only thing that makes it feel a tad cooler but its feral. I am hiding in the bedroom in aircon - but I just got back from a long walk at Kewarra Beach! Beautiful day!

It was 36 at midday, no idea what it got up to.
Brought clothing in off the line at 4pm. Had a shower at 6pm and when I put fresh clothes on from the basket it felt like they'd been sitting on the heater. The water in the shower was so hot I wouldn't wash fragile clothing in it.

10.5mm out of a flash cell here this arvo right on dusk, best/only rain we have had over the last month and a bit, pasture is all dead and even the weed's have been dying off over the last two weeks.
Hope we get a lot more from now on in.

Almost two hours later. Still.....no.....rain. The big blue blob is dissipating as it gets here. Nothing unusual I guess. frown

Given that we have been so starved of action in Cairns this year(bar the one all night rumbler) I decided I would have to go to the storm this time instead of waiting for it to come to me. Got a bit at Herbeton but got a really good show out at Lotus Glen. Pretty impressive Gust front on it was lifting LOTS of dust from the bone dry ground. Just a pity the cells all formed too far west once the first Malanda cell died out.

ha ha ha we got those gusts for about 5 minutes about 5.30pm.
With all that activity on the radar, we still have had no rain at all.

Tomorrow is the day, I can tell. The atmosphere feels charged, the air is thick with humidity! Tomorrow is the day, for the tablelands and Cairns. I work at Lotus Glen so hoping for a pre-view and then get the real show when I get home!

Tomorrow. Is. The. Day!

Well my weather station (wife) claimed that it was going to rain on Wednesday, so we shall see.

Was up at cairns today, then up to Kuranda (we got there just before the accident) .I was talking to one of the ladies in a shop there and could just feel the sweat dripping down my back!

We got to Tolga about 2pm and there was quite a bit of water lying around, so the must have had a quick storm/rain shower. About 5pm in Atherton there was some nice deep rumbles of thunder and a fair amount of lightning.

On the way home just after we got of the Palmerston, we were greeted by a massive red moon sitting over Innisfail, (it is a super moon) and it was quite a spectacular sight.

That sounds like an adventure YS.

Now it might actually be raining, I think you could call it that. A very very light sprinkle, but seems to be ongoing. Fingers crossed.

Interesting collection of cells forming over, and to the north of Green Is, all in the last 30mins.
Just need them to move west or west sth west.
