48mm here this morning, cracked above average now I'd say.

Some more juicy showers coming in today, super muggy, wouldn't be surprised to hear some rumbles.

Edit- my Gvale average for five Januarys including this one is 360mm

You got a nice spot up on the hill for weatherwatching, Ron..

40mm today ...61 mm yesterday

Just random showers today and the sun is even trying to peek through..

DU, those models certainly backed right off in our region ..keeping it well north in the gulf and top of Cape York though..Haven't you had enough yet...?...

This is my wettest Jan since 2010.
697.6 mm to 19:00 hrs tonight. 2010 was 769.2 for the whole month, so still got 4 days 13 hrs to beat that.

If so, I doubt I'll beat 2009 which was 973.7mm.

I confused my count for my Nylex - What are everyone's readings for the Northern Beaches for the YTD.

The little black stinky beetles have arrived. Blehhh. I don't know how they get inside.

I see Darwin has passed their Jan average by more than an inch, and should put a fair bit more on that in the next 4 days.

639mm for the month here at Utchee Creek, the creek is like a yo-yo, raging mentally for a few hours then down, then up again.
I love watching the dirty brown/ red waters rushing and eddying but I could not imagine going white river rafting at this time of year - I guess they are thrill seekers though whilst I am just plain sensible and aware of danger which I try to avoid.
Cold@28 - had beetles in the house down south and my, their little claws could hook into the carpet as you vacuum. Horrid and foolish creatures if you ask me.

56mm for the last couple of days I have been away. My monthly total is 373mm, I imagine that may be below average for this area, this time of year?
