Forgot to mention the overnight slow light drizzle gave me 2mm, others got 7mm, so that's something.

My ancient oregon weather station has been telling me it's in the 37s and 38s, but others in town are saying over 41. Might be time for a new one.

A few storms headed towards us, at the western end of the big patch of blue. What's the betting it dissipates like it did last night.

Hi RF My sister has the same model, a couple years older than mine. She gave me this one. Hers is fine, but it's been on the wall and never been moved. Mine has lived in countless residences, and countless spots inside those residences. The temps do seem okay, but the clock stopped working properly a long time ago, and that sets me wondering about the rest.

We can still smell fire out here, and checking Sentinel there are still quite a few around. Just hasn't been enough rain.

Can some explain the mechanics of last nights storms off the coast? Bang on midnight, the storms cropped up and bubbled away till 6am. The moment the sun rose, it died off. Surely, the heat and convection should have made them spread - why did they lose all their steam at sunrise?

Looks like its still bubbling away out there at the moment!

My guess would be that the air temp was just low enough during those hours for some instability to have been created over the sun warmed shallow reef waters?

Just on midnight the wind started to pick up quite a bit, and swing around to a westerly.
Gusting to over 25 km/h now. Didn't drop the temp though.

1mm in the middle of the night of 2/3rd.

And I avoided making appointments for this week in case by little Metro wouldn't be able to ford lakes on the road...

Thanks RF.

2mm after midnight, mainly light drizzle to 4.30am.
24 degrees at 6.30am.

Only settled the dust on the gravel road. No puddles, no mud.

Everything forming west of the hills around Herbeton/Atherton. With weak southerly steering I can't see them making the coast unless they actually build here later on

Little bit forming out the back of Dunk, and on the ranges, but nothing steering them just yet. Teasing us.

I'll go and wash the car, that'll do it🤔
