Sorry to hear that BundyBear, hope they fixed it good. I know what it’s like, when I lived in Cooktown we lost power for a week post cyclone before the crews could find the broken line along the creb track near Cape Tribulation. As for the storm I’m not worried if it reaches here or not, just in awe at how far it’s travelled. Garden and plants have had a nice drink for a week or so.
We have gone longer without power. Just a pita when everyone else has it and you don't. If I had not noticed the transformer issue we still wouldn't have it. I was beginning to worry about the 2 freezers full that insurance would not cover.
Tonight was nice and mild storm. Bit of rumbles, bit of light show, some nice rain. Last night even had hubby jumping and he is half deaf and loves storms. I think he needed new undies when bits of plastic were flying through the room accompanied by a sound like a gunshot. Our ears were ringing for a good few minutes after that one.
Sons dog was so terrified that she was trying to get out of the house to run away from it.
