No storm.

Was perfect up at stony creek too, albeit very busy.

Yeah beautiful day today here too. Nice breeze and despite 31 degs on the gauge it never felt that warm.

A few locals here around Rocky saying that the wet season is all over.
We got a few storms Oct-Jan, but that’s it. The monsoon never arrived, and the La Niña was a complete non-event. Oh well here’s to 18-19 wet season.

Had a surprising 1.5ml this morning. And no storm to go with it which made life nice.

A bit early to say the wet seasons over. Feb/March are our wettest months. I think in 2 weeks time the models will be painting a better picture. Some years we get early starts to wet season others we get buggar all Dec/Jan and then BAM down she comes

Could be the case, however I’m starting to get a bad feeling that this could be a very poor wet season. You see I planted pumpkin and every year I have done that in the past the wet has failed to arrive. My spring tomatoes did well with those few storms, but the pumpkins are really struggling in the current dry spell despite this mythical La Niña were ment to be having.

Correct me if wrong but wasn't last summer hotter. I found this on my FB feed from last year :

January 13, 2017 ·
A very humid day today, just disgusting outside. Very tropical ...

CURRENTLY AT ROCKHAMPTON AP

Temperature 36.2°C rising
Dew Point 25.1°C steady
Feels Like 45.1°C

I remember it getting hot last summer but not sure if it happened after Christmas, I do not recall a lot of SE/E wind changes like we're getting this year.

Fairly disgusting here today, little cells popping up around us. I had a really cold Christmas in the northern hemisphere, got down to -27deg c, so this has been a bit of a welcome back to summer for us. Only recorded 25mm of rain while we were gone, it is very dry here again. The Fairbairn dam is down to 26%, so rain would be welcomed.

Phew. Missed those ones. Hopefully the same doesn't happen as last time. It had just missed us then slam.

Still haven't got everything replaced that blew up then. They didn't do anything towards the dogs stupidity either except make it worse.

Yeah it woke me up .

96mm in Perth WA in their "dry season " ! Wow ...

Living near the beach when we got that 35 it peaked around 11am and we got quite a decent NE seabreeze from then onwards and in the morning it was dry so really was never that uncomfortable.

Is it fair to say this summer has been more like a few days of intense heat then cool ? compared to last year being many warm days in a row ?

I know there will be rain in a week or so here. I saw jetstreams/contrails today.
