Total fizzer in Berowra, roads not even wet, temp down by 2 degrees. The white and blue on the BOM radar is over-cooking it big time. Really disappointing. Still sitting on 26 degrees.

The storms didn't cross the Harbour. I've been indoors. Some people walking outside have umbrellas up, but that's about it.

Looks like a fizzer for the Sydney Basin. BoM predicted falls of 20-50mm for much of sydney and up to 70mm for katoomba. almost all obs didn't even register double digits.

Wish i chased the Illawarra though looks like a beast rolled through there.

Yep, a fizzer up here too.
A little light rain.
Winds were negligible, no thunder or lightning, and you wouldn't even know there'd been a southerly.
Oh well. Can't win them all.
Glad others had some fun though.

cant even get a garden variety storm here. nothing overnight last night, and looks to be just melting to nothing again now and firing up further north. just shocking.....

Good thunderstorm and some heavy rain falling in the last 10-15 minutes, hopefully we'll get something out of this for the water tank.

Keep in mind, the rainfall totals and percentages on the BOM's forecasts cover the 24hr period from midnight to midnight (and not 9am today to 9am tomorrow). So you've got to take into consideration what fell during the early/morning storms/rain that came through Sydney too.

Indeed Seabreeze, Most of N Syd received 30-40mm to 9am from that stuff. It would've taken a lot of energy out for today's activity, which is why it tend to hit the areas that missed out (ie. SW Syd, Illawarra and now the central and mid north coast). Was expecting more regardless

Well most stones were between the size of a 10 and 20 cent piece. 16.1mm from that storm and 12.1mm from the previous night.
Wind gust were pretty strong too, guessing around the 70-80kmph.
Not sure how long its been since I've experienced two storms on consecutive nights, but I will take it anyway!!

I wanted to stay longer and catch the developing shelf cloud, but some other tool fishing on the other jetty wanted to fight someone pulling up in a tinnie!! My son was quick to get in the car!!

I have plenty of footage from these past two days, hopefully I can share some soon.

Oh never knew that thanks SeaBreeze. Instead of a fizzer i would now call it "less than expected". Most areas therefore copped around 10-40mm's which i guess is a bit closer to BoM's forecast.

We got a decent amount of activity last night as well, even if it wasn't as big as Sydney's storms. This area lately has been quite lucky with storms actually, it's not often that can be said.

That is a brilliant shot Eddy!!
