Probably is right. I's 32.5 at Terrey Hills (equivalent to 34 at sea level) and temperatures are shooting up elsewhere. It's even 34 at Bellambi. The Bellambites must be gasping in the heat.

The NW'er is up and running.

Albion park's forecast was 34c Max. Yet its only 9AM and its already 36.8c. This trend can be seen in many places along the illawarra coast e.g Nowra, Bellambi Pt.

Yet at Kiama it's only 24...the mess that is the Illawarra lol...it's not hot at my place, probably late 20's, I'm moderated very much by the sea & Lake. Expect the sea-breeze to be in with a vengeance soon.

Wonder if it will be one of those days where the temps graph turns into a rollercoaster as the wind constantly switches between seabreeze and the NW.

As expected, today has come out of the blocks fast.
Now 34.1C, 36C in Tocal. Forecast now at 44C.
I'd say we'll get there, and over 40C again tomorrow.

Looking that way for sure, Kiama the weird standout really - 24 with dp of 24 and light se'erly. 5 km to it's NW it's 37 an dry. Shows what some decent hills can do to shelter a coastal location.

Yep Albion park at 39C now while Kiama is sitting on a cool 25.4c. 14C difference when they're only 13km apart. That Foehn wind effect is insane.

More referring to Shellharbour which is ~37c. Albion Park is now 39, Bellambi 36 and both hotter than Campbelltown.

Albion Park temp went up 20C in approx 2 hours this morning.
Is that a record for NSW temp climbs?

Holy smokes, nice pick up and a great question. Hopefully Blair can comment; no doubt he's closely watching his obs network today.

It definitely was not 100% humidity before at Kiama. I am here and there would be sea fog if that was the case but yet it's been clear as all morning. So DP is over reading still.

I would expect about 43C at Albion Park if the NWer continues.

Just came back from watering the new garden. Pleasant work in these conditions before it gets too hot.

Those temperatures in the Illawarra are crazy for 9:00 solar time. Sydney seems to be a bit slower getting going at around 33-25, but 37+ at Richmond.

There seem to be weak Southerlies on the coast South of about Moruya.

P.S. Good to see the Albion Park AWS back in action.

Albion Park the hottest place in the State at the moment, not often you'd see that, in fact I'd say almost never.

I've seen it before a few times, and it's always been in the morning when there is an early NWer coupled with the downslope effect which makes it hotter than everywhere else but then other locations overtake later in the day.
