Love the spider web. We had a heavy dew here on the coast one morning last week also.

I grabbed this one of a storm over Gin Gin back in December.

Summer days plus water, describes Summer in Oz, perfectly. There are some beautiful images above.

Summer in December '18 is just over two weeks old and in my neck-of-the-bush it has been totally crazy. The first few days were sweltering and very dusty, then a few days spent cringing in an Antarctic blast, a few more days sweltering and now four days of the best rain seen in the district for many years.

At the start of December, light rain brought with it airbourne dust, to enhance our back deck. The specks are dry.

For the first time in years the stream on our property is flowing.

Passing showers, Yass Valley, New South Wales.

Not all properties in the Valley are in good shape, even when they've been under stocked for a while. It only takes a few hills to form a barrier and there can be a rain shadow. When rain stopped on this property, within moments the hot soil steamed and mists formed, headed off downhill, forming faint creeks of mist ... then within moments the mists were gone.

Many paddocks here are saturated, describing old water courses.

A new fast flowing tributary for the Yass River, New South Wales.

Evening's golden light on the grasslands of the critically endangered Golden Sun Moth. The Northern ACT Border with NSW. The air was hot, the wind was hot and the humidity low.

Today at 8.30pm, 4/01/2019. The temp then was 34.0C. The air was completely still.

Raining to the West. The shot was taken from the dry as a nut Goorooyarroo Wetlands, Northern ACT.

WK, thank you for your rewarding comment Mate. Summer photography appears to be quiet. I'm guessing most Aussies are too smart to be out in the sun?

I hope you guys don't mind me tagging my 2019 Summer shots onto the 2018 Summer thread? It seems a bit crazy starting a 2019 Summer thread ... with so little photographic traffic here?

This wetland, in the North of the ACT, when healthy, when full, covers about 8+ hectares. This last pool is about 4mX65m. I paced it out.

We have had several bouts of heavy rain in the district during this month, but the pool is living on borrowed time.

In a post above I wrote, for the first time in years our stream is flowing. I meant to write the for the first time in years, the spring, is flowing from the rocks.
