Fun anecdote regarding temperature changes. On the Saturday before xmas I drove with the fam from Adelaide to Naracoorte, leaving at 10 and arriving at 2. When i first glanced at the outside thermometer it read 30 degrees. By the time we reached Coonalpyn, it was at 38. By the time we got to my parents in Naracoorte it was back to 28.

On the way back last wednesday (similar timeframe, 11-3) it was 33 leaving naraccorte, 43 at tailem bend, and back to 33 in the city. Pretty extreme changes.,

could be about to get interesting,,, a few sparks south east of ARNO BAY,, indicating some instability.
Some last minute radar imagery indicating forming showers north west of PLAYFORD.
Just had a short sharp shower of big spots but not enough to wet the ground.
eyes and EARS open for possible sparkies tonight peoples.... cameras a ready, just in case.

2.9mm in the gauge until 730am this morning. Everything looked nice & fresh in the garden.

Looks like our first real heatwave of the summer about to hit late next week frown

Is it normal for Kent Town to be 1.5C hotter than West Terrace?

Awesome, one of the worst storm seasons imaginable and now we have to put up with an extended heat wave. Can't beat SA for exciting weather.
