Eddy and Stormy....we managed 4mm from that storm. A couple MM the day before. Nice to see it fall, but its not doing much.

It was good to see the storms amplify and actually hit with some rain rather than just going around us. Now just need that to happen with a 40 or 50mm storm or two!

Overcast with mid level cloud, mild and windy here. It got up to about 29-30 earlier this afternoon. Near the coast, when the weather map shows little or no wind, you know it's going to be a windy afternoon - sea gales.

Lol. If I had noticed The Bom's generous totals tomorrow I wouldnt be raving about moisture deprivation.
P.s that Trop storm is tipped to drop 300mm in Philippines. As if they need it. We need it

Going for 10-15mm for Port Stephens, like to see it happen!!

Surprisingly it nearly made 30c here today, starting to cloud over now, could be a nice sunset on the cards this evening.

For it to be the wettest summer day, Nobbys Head only needs to beat 10.4mm

I don't know if that is rain moving in from the west out near Mudgee,or is it a false reading.

A monotonous weather pattern but not the first time we were stuck in one. 10 years ago it was the opposite cycle - E/SE'ly winds, cool to cold on the coast and rain on ~45 out of the 90 summer days.

Ulladulla with over 50mm overnight did well with that little trough.

Some heavy but very localised falls on the South Coast / Illawarra overnight. Foxground between Kiama and Jamberoo picked up 119mm. A small coastal strip near Ullladulla picked up 25-60mm. Most falls seem to have been just a couple of millimetres, however.

There were also isolated good falls in the Hunter, including Cessnock and Maitland, with falls around 15mm. Again, most falls up there were one or two mm. Hopefully Stormy aand Gringos picked up some.

It's warm, humid, mostly cloudy (low cloud) with sunny breaks here. A Southerly seems to be passing through Sydney at the moment. Apart from an isolated 4mm at Cronulla and one or two falls under 1mm, the Sydney area had no rain overnight.

1.5mm accumulated this morning according to my PWS. It's handy having it connected to WU with the graphs.

Not much here apart from some very light drizzle that wasn't enough to register in the gauge. It was a very mild night with the temp staying above 23c.

I did here some soft rumbles from those cells out to sea early this morning, too much low cloud about this morning to see distant lightning.

Hopefully some storms can fire up again later this morning/early afternoon.

It's astonishing to read of the rain last night in some places when in your own location it never ever looked like a drop.

Really glad that some decent precip fell in places. Pretty sure not many places that are not hanging out for a good drink in the State.

The heat monster out here just keeps on going. Not extreme heat but just continual runs of very warm days and nights with no real cool down.

We look like being in the 30's almost every day till the end of the month. This is Bathurst on the Central Tablelands almost 700m elevation.

Starting to feel more like say Parkes or Forbes, those towns have an average max of about 32 in February.

Well this week and the next week or two look pretty much like that.

15 days of the month to go, once we get into March, the impact of the lengthening nights will start to cool the nights ever so slightly out here. Should be many more nights between 10 and 15 degrees then. smile
