Yes, CA, it's very interesting. Swan Hill 44C atm. The division is very obvious in Gippsland: along the Sale/Bairnsdale/Orbost strip it's mid-20C. Inland (even at higher elevation) Omeo is 36C and Gelantipy (which is abt 700m asl) is 33C.

... and JBTW ...I have an imperfect view of the ranges to my north but, though it's not in the forecast, there seems to be enough build-up to produce lightning by the end of the day. Prefer not!

Yeah pretty interesting, we got to 33.2c at 1230 as wind was light and went back to east. Dp started dropping and I thought we were getting northern weather but then SSE wind resumed and is quite vigorous (no wonder with over 20 degree diff between Bendigo and the city). Was heaps of Accas around this morning as the fog burnt off but now high overcast with wind and temp 27.6 DP up to 17.2 so if wind stopped be a bit gross. There is a bit of cu to my NE where there is less high cloud.

Reached 45 degrees, at 4.00pm here. At least it's not as bad as yesterday, I guess I'm getting use to it.

You're right Logansi. Was just watching. Can't tell, of course, how much (if any) rain is hitting the ground. The activity is spreading.

BTW - worth having a look in the next day or so as to how next weekend is shaping. After what will have been a two-week heat wave in the north of state and a dry and warm/very hot period in the south - the conditions next Friday and onwards starting to look dire.

Cracked 34 here before, eased back now with no sun and virga around but still 32.3 DP over 10 and light NNE wind, pressure dropping off as well. Some heavier cells (maybe) to my immediate north.
5th day in a row above 30 (I know laughable stat to those in the Mallee)

Ha ha Blacky, enjoy the 3 day cool spell wink

Basically no sunshine here today, yet got to a muggy 32C, tried to spit from "way up there" often.

No storms about this region. Hoping for a rainy night in N Gippy.

Reached a hot, humid and partly cloudy 31.4C here in Belgrave on Saturday January 20th 2018. No showers or thunderstorms unfortunately, but a very nice cooling breeze. smile

As for Sunday January 21st 2018...

It ranged between 19.6C and 33.1C. Not much wind, very sweaty conditions. It was mostly cloudy (with sunny breaks) and unstable, but all we got was a few light showers. No thunderstorms or measurable rainfall sadly. frown
