Yes, it brought trees down across the highway and roads and fences to the north of the highway. Glad to say there was only minimal reference to a "mini tornado" laugh and the BoM forecaster from RAAF gave a good explanation of a microburst on local ABC the next morning.

Cool, generally 50% cloud today. An "honest" moderate westerly most of the day ... after the calm humidity of the past days.

My report for yesterday (following where I left from my last post) and for today so far from here in Belgrave..

Reached a top of 20.9C, my coldest day for January 2018, and also for the year so far. My record low maximum for January is still 16.6C on January 29th 2016.

As for today it ranged between 10.8C and 21.9C.

Both days have definitely been colder compared to the recent heatwaves! A mixture of sun and cloud with gusty southwesterly winds and light showers (no measurable rainfall though). The wind sure does have a wintry chill to it, but whenever it slackens the Sun still has its usual strong summertime bite! eek

Currently around 16C. Hoping for favourable weather conditions for tonight's epic Super Blue Lunar Eclipse here in Melbourne! And looking forward to the return of much warmer temperatures as we move into late-summer (February), I just hope that storms will return soon. smile

High of 15.1c after a low of 8.0c to conclude the month and this thread and another 0.4mm in a couple of light showers today. Still windy and back to 10.7c now.

Just stepped outside to have a look at the Eclipse which is unfolding here in Melbourne! It looks so beautiful!! grin

Good thing we have clear skies, although I can see high cloud to over the northern horizon from the low pressure area in Central Australia. Thankfully the high cloud will stay across Northern Victoria and into NSW/ACT, unfortunately for those up north though. frown

A cold night atm here in Belgrave, currently around 11C. Could drop to around 8-9C tonight! eek

Came home from Pambula to find a handy 21mm in the rain gauge. Things have dried markedly in the week since though with the reduced humidity.
