What about rain? I recon some places might have had no rain at all.
7.5mm here. Must be approaching lowest on record territory at some stations....

Yes Sidney, I've been watching those.
Can't wait for the southerly to give the place a refresh, and any rain will be a bonus.
A storm would be a Christmas present. smile

A weak southerly is pushing through the south of the Sydney basin now.
A stronger surge is further south an hour or two behind.
We should all wake up to much cooler and pleasant temps in the morning.
About time. It's been a very unpleasant two weeks.

The cooler air will be a good break from the heat here, but I would rather a spell of heavy rain

Already feels nice and cold with that southerly and the temp is still 21C. Hard to believe that the maximum temperatures will be less than this for a few days at least. Going to be a wonderful night sleep, I can't wait to not be hot for once.

Thursday forecasted to be... 18 degrees and that's not even with rain forecast (well, slight chance of shower) so I will have to see that to believe it especially given that it would break a record for lowest Feb maximum.

I'm certainly looking forward to an extended break of cooler weather WR. It's been a shocker working in these conditions over the past two weeks. That's summer I suppose.....it just doesn't get any easier as the years pass by.

I could even put up with the heat if there were sporadic times of showers or rain, but there hasn't even been that.

I certainly feel for you working in these conditions Homer, it's been hard enough living in them especially because it has been so humid. I don't mind a bit of dry heat but the high humidity really gets to me.

Nah Eddy, that's the forecast temp for the Gong would you believe!!

Well there's some light but steady rain falling here and temp is down to 20C.

After yet another plus-30 deg day, it's 18 but only 0.4mm with the change, a lot less than 50km south. Single digit nights ahead which I will gladly take! Love moving to the highlands.

Finally have my natural air-conditioning and those beautiful sexy southerlies slowly cooling my apartment down. I am just chuffed and so are my swollen feet from this heat. '

On Thursday should be perfect weather for my recording of the King Tide at Cooks River/Tempe

Seeing the odd flash of lightning but hard to tell where from due to the scud cloud, must be from those cells forming off the coast.

The lack of showers on radar this morning is a bit disappointing. I've only had 1.2mm so far, most of which fell at 1am when our entire apartment block was standing out on the street due to the fire alarm going off... BOM has "rain" clearing, but there really is none to begin with. Looking to Saturday now I guess.
