If we actually had *serious weather* to talk about we wouldn't be whinging...would we??

Weird day today. Woke to sunshine, then a bit overcast, sun again and felt like early March autumn in Sydney. At one stage there was a big cloud that gave us a faint sprinkle. Intermittently thru the day we've had very strong blows. That wind is very strange. Sun set with stormy light.

My latest rain gauge is a $10 nylex you stab into the ground. I've got it in a pot of sand, to keep it away from the mud (still). However, the markings are raised, but clear, and impossible to read even with specs on. Went over them with a black texta. Works fine til it wears off.

Peobably due to the last four years being Elnino in part and a bit of geographical difference as well, Bentley Park is definitely wetter generally.

Fresh cool *autumn* day. Mostly clear sky, still only 25 degrees at 8.30am.

Yesterday was pretty cool as well, and last night was 2 woollen blankets and a heavy cotton throw.

The grass is still green, but wondering for how long. Haven't had to pay much for mowing this season.

Another dry day. Cool, definitely not hot. Chilly evening, even put a lot sweater on, since the temp dropped below 28...

There is a really strange wind blowing at the moment. Comes in spooky gusts, and a faint howl through the privacy screen.

My water bill is $260 bucks for the quarter. We hardly use water, and the graph on back of the bill (not sure how accurate that is) show me that I doubled my water usage compared to others in my area, and higher than last period and this time last year.

Did the water restrictions in recently mean an increase i water? I am wondering if I have a leak somewhere... I'll keep an eye on my water metre and see if it is ticking over despite no water usage.

Last couple of mornings have been a little cool. If I didnít know better I would think it was April.

A few days of sun to dry things out now.

Same thoughts up here, This morning with a light land breeze and a heavy mist/fog along the river flats it felt like Mackerel season as I was out running the hound.

Cheers

Curiously cold this morning on the Tropical Coast. Looks like Mareeba has broken it's minimum record for February. A low of 14.6C at 6:24 am. Also Innisfail Aero on 16.3 C would be close to a record.

Innisfail at high 16s this morning, that's fresh for sure

It's another spectacular sunny Dry Season day here, again...
Not a cloud anywhere. Not even a hint. Like this all day yesterday.

Fortunately not too hot. Nights borderline 2 or 3 blankets smile

Last rain was Tuesday last week. The grass is still green, but not for long. The birdbath evaporates quickly.

If we're really really lucky we *might* get a tiny bit of rain end of next week, according to this: http://www.bom.gov.au/jsp/watl/rainfall/pme.jsp

Fingers crossed. It would be nice to get some more rain. We've had just under 300mm since beginning of October.

Still not a single cloud in the sky, in fact it's like November in the outback if it hasn't rained at all for months, with that grey haze through the air.

The washing on the line dried instantly to brittle, even the slow stuff.
