For people in Herbert and Lower Burdekin and parts of Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, Central Coast and Whitsundays, Central Highlands and Coalfields and Central West Forecast Districts.
Issued at 3:00 pm Wednesday, 21 February 2018.
Weather Situation:
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Proserpine, Charters Towers, Bowen, Townsville, Palm Island, Collinsville, Ingham, Pentland, Ayr, Mingela, Giru and Alva Beach.

Woke to an awesome storm at 3am. So far received 70mm and by the looks more to come. Wish it would come a little closer to the coast though!

It Has been Disappointing Event here so far with only 44mm for the last 7 days. I hope we get some more before it is gone. Great to see a lot of other places getting some though.
