Yes it's good, it looks good for this week too. Feels a bit like a wet season tonight.

No deluge here drought declared. While I can not complain about our totals from this rain event it is just sheer luck.

Still no general rain for this area, it is all higgledy piggledy.

25mm here, 2mm two km away, 50mm 4 km away.

We had 5mm yesterday.

4mm here. Blue sky should let enough heat in for a similar setup to yesterday

Good thing about this year and probably last is no major flooding rain events (apart from 2 weeks in March last year) that would cause the Scenic Highway at Statue Bay to stop work for a long time. Supposed to be open this year. They say April from the last update. I reckon June more likely.

The time it takes me to get to Yeppoon from near the Causeway is sometimes 20 mins because people drive so darn slow on that detour and then continue driving below 60 all the way out of the detour.

Seems crazy how humid it is yet no massive deluges. Perhaps March and April... then a less hotter than normal winter than last year. Random guess .

Some heavy falls about, but quite isolated. Good falls of 30-40mm around Struck Oil/ Mt Morgan and 60-70mm around the Don River along the highway according to the BOM rain map.

We have had 6mm here today so far.

I do not think so Rhys. Not while it is all coming from the North.

Has to come from the East or North East off the ocean.

Nothing much overnight here 2mm, further west had a bit. Looking at the rain maps we have nothing forecast now for at least another week? So that will be it for February for us 9.6mm.

1.7mm for me for the weekend, no deluge but as good as it gets for Rocky rainfall I guess. at least I can turn the lawn sprinklers off for a couple of days.

Now that the wet season is all but over, I am looking towards winter for the next decent sprinkle of rain to get a bit of grass going down in my lower paddock. I've been buying in feed for my horses since Christmas, and its getting expensive.

I think we may have some decent rain through March, wet season isn't over yet. I've received 89'm for this event, hopefully will be lucky to break 100mm come this afternoon and tomorrow.

So humid in Yeppoon, even more humid at the moment than Darwin. Hope this humidity leads to some rain or a storm.

I had gone home to lock the dog up so it didn't do a runner at the first sign of thunder. Got back in car it started hammering down, poured all the way back to work in Allenstown..!
Thunder still rumbling to the south.

I am a tad concerned. Remember, I don't like storms.

I have a slow moving one heading my way. Hopefully once it gets this close to the coast it will do the bolt to sea and not sit over me.

2 stupid dogs already in the house. Had to leave work to come home and muzzle them to put inside.

Nothing in Mulambin really except some thunder in the distance and a brief 2 min light shower that just enough that it was probably less than a mm. There is some sort of dome over here for storms. Yeppoon will get something we miss out . Then sometimes, we get showers overnight or early morning and nowhere else on the entire Cap Coast will get a thing. It's visible on the radar and it's only on our area. Really weird.

Our old dog used to be scared of storms barking and running up and down the house , hated them. Our labrador doesn't seem to care.

Stupid I can cope with. Unfortunately it is a death sentence for our old bitch as she is destroying the house literally. No one was home the other day and she was outside so destroyed the front door. With her teeth. And the door surround. She has previously chewed through the red cedar cladding on the house. Drugs haven't worked. Desensitising doesn't work. Even locking her in the house doesnt work as she has then chewed the bedroom door architraving, chewed the wooden toilet seat.

Her panic knows no bounds and it just isn't fair to her to keep her.
