Sadly a tale of two cities, honestly I don't even live very far away from the coast and other places more inland rack up better rainfall figures. frown

Somehow Bankstown AWS managed to miss the rain but there are puddles around this morning. Nothing since but it's nice knowing there was some rain about.

I am impressed with how far some of these showers are heading inland. I thought there was the possibility of the showers heading inland due the cold pool so I'm happy some managed to make it inland instead of it being an entirely coastal affair. smile

Some coldest Feb temps on record in some Qld centres yesterday. Very interesting.

Extended sunny stuff here now with the odd shower thrown in

Absolutely chucking it down, was quite wild there for a minute with some strong wind gust associated with the downpour.

Occasional showers here and there. It's wonderful to finally see some rain falling again. It's currently 25.2 degrees according to my PWS. I'm not looking forward to the heat returning!

In the course of a normal storm season a day like today would be a frustrating spanner in the works. But i found myself ecxcitedly jumping out of bed when there was a moderate shower on the roof at 5am this morning. After 30 seconds it cleared and i went ashamedly back to bed.

Lol.

I got excited earlier today when we had a seriously torrential downpour and I jumped on here to post about it.
By the time I had made my post, it was over. That's how desperate we all are about some decent rain.
We've had nothing but a few light showers for the rest of the day. Would be lucky to have received 2 mm's in total.
I'm still enjoying the cooler weather though.
Also, I've been out and about most of the day in the car and some of the cloudscapes have been spectacular.
It's a pity this hasn't transitioned into higher totals.

Not sure about the crowd, I don't have fox, but 20 minutes into the game and the radar is looking Okish, should get through the game mostly dry. Up the Jets!! grin

Fiesta. Cellarman. Mate story. Trapeze artist. Track upgraded to soft5. Probably good 4. Although tailwind up straight. Nice day at rosehill gardens. Enough to pay the weekly water cartage bill for the farm!

Are you paying $800 a week Quaggy? Is it farm use or just for the house?

We managed 2mm overnight and a few sprays today. Heavy 30 second showers that would wet the cement and then the sun would come out with the wind and you wouldnt even know it rained. There might be 4mm (another 2mm today) there, but it it may as well not rained at all...soil isnt even damp. "just enough to wet the cement" has been my saying for almost a year now....same same.

This is from Ken Kato on the SE QLD/ NE NSW thread; "4-week EC ensemble and CFSV2 have also been suggesting the possibility of some anomalously lower pressures developing near the lower east of Australia later this month accompanied by some enhanced rainfall... but considering we could be near the northern edge of that, it looks like another one of those "could go either way" scenarios."
Maybe something to look forward to for us. smile
