Does look rather warm up your way, judging from the Airport temps. Mostly 30's since mid Dec. Luckily no 40's like last summer.

Not as hot as last year (which was an absolutely horrendous time) but still too hot with no regular cool downs.

Dry as can be too.

The climate here is much warmer and drier now than when I first lived here in the early 80's.

It's having every day for about 15 days above 30 is what hurts. The house just gets warmer and warmer.

January is supposed to average 28.3 max here.
We had 21 days 30 or above
Only 7 days below average, the others were just below 30.

Pretty wild in Launnie this morning, strong winds, driving rain, quite a bit of close lightning and heavy thunder. Power flicking a lot.

Good thunder storm rolling through at the moment. Just had a 3 minute hailstorm, with hail to 1cm in size. Partly covered the ground.

40mm in the gauge this morning. 36mm yesterday. 127mm for the week!

Have had hail on and off for the last 3 days now.

Water tanks are both overflowing which is great, considering March can be one of our driest months over here. No water rationing this year. smile

Morning all

If the forecast rainfall (50-100mm) for between Friday and Sunday eventuates, we could see some significant totals here on the Wet Coast. Be great to see the Eastern side get something out of it.

Saturday looking like we could see rainfall Statewide.

Nice to see a cool down too this month, looking like the coolest February for 7 years, but not too far off the long-term average.

Good news there Yep - mate just to have an "average" month is an accomplishment these days. smile

To get a "below" - wow well done. Not as lucky up here sadly.

I don't see any real heat for you guys in the near future either. Enjoy it smile

Hope you get some precip today.

13mm so far today, haven't had huge totals since the end of the Jan 'heat wave' but enough that the grass is really starting to spring back to life. With no heat and maybe some more rain tonight and tomorrow morning, should be well on the way to more mowing...

Afternoon all,
Had 3.8mm till 9am yesterday and a further 11.4mm till 9am this morning so a total of 15.2mm. A bit less than I was hoping for.
Any way happy to have the grass green again.
We have had 49.2mm for the month and a total of 80mm ytd.
