Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for HEAVY RAINFALL
For people in parts of Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Central Coast and Whitsundays and Central Highlands and Coalfields Forecast Districts.
Issued at 8:24 pm Saturday, 3 February 2018.
Weather Situation:
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Collinsville, Nebo, Eungella and Natal Downs.
Finch Hatton 59mm rainfall in 30 minutes (8:20pm local)

177 mm in the 4 hours to midnight hasn't stopped raining since but only light ....... 4WD access only up to gorge. will update as weather progresses

Man I feel ripped off, Nah I was happy with the 65mm last night, that storm just went north of us but we caught the edge of it, we went into the Eungella markets today and most people had 100mm or more. Nice to see wide spread rain I hope we get a bit more.

Well must have settled in the gorge here as it hasn't let up since last night. slowly increasing in intensity.

A further 36 mm rain recorded this morning... Causeways navigational with caution. Some moderate washouts have developed near causeway approaches...

That looked sooo good that storm as it came flying up from the south but just fell over 5km away and formed up to the north. Lots of lightning just 3mm though.
