Arnhem Highway was still closed at around Beatrice Hill yesterday afternoon with plenty of water up on the Adelaide River floodplains. Always a spectacle when the plains are in flood.

Thanks fellas!

Yes Ron it's never been a place for the faint-hearted when it comes to mozzies, can be almost unbearable at times right on sunset!

A couple more shots from the drone out at the Adelaide River this afternoon, water looks to be slowly receding.

Fairly strong storms pushed in to Darwin from out in this area later in the evening.

I was out on the Arnhem Hwy where the road was closed at the Adelaide River floodplain on Friday evening at around sunset. I remember someone releasing a drone a bit after sunset. Was that you, Orebound? smile

Hey Werner, it may have been. There were a couple of us out there taking a few photos.

Looks like a fairly stormy period over the next week so kind of hoping water levels drop soon so we can push out further east, opens up a lot more options for chasing down a few bolts.

Interesting sounding, certainly directionally for Darwin today. Got me thinking, have there been many waterspouts filmed/caught over the years around the top end?
