First 'event' in around a month. Bout time. Let's hope it comes off. Squall line looks interesting.

The dewpoints are quite supportive of rain; Penrith is sitting at 22 degrees and OH at 19.8 degrees.

I'm just hoping we'd get some explosive development once the change gets closer with those DP's.

I don't think we will see anything like the BoM is saying. In fact check the sat pic and radar, look's dry but I seriously hope I'm wrong.

I wonder what the precipitable water for value for Sydney would be currently.

Unless something develops soon, I just can't see anything close to the rainfall totals that the BoM have predicted. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Change seems to have gotten lost just nth of Sydney. Ran out of puff I guess. Very uncomfortable night up this way. High broken cloud.

Finally some decent weather to report in this neck of the woods.
Moderate rain for the last couple of hours verging on heavy at times. Rain rates pushing a steady 20mm/hr as well. Also the occasional thunder as well, makes it a lovely morning to sleep in. Definitely much welcomed, been very dry since last March.

Slight breeze from south has arrived. Very light. Lots of sun now. Still very warm for this time of morning

Unless something develops soon, I just can't see anything close to the rainfall totals that the BoM have predicted. I sincerely hope I'm wrong. Its just going to develop right over the central east....so its not like you are going to see a huge cloud mass coming down from the tropics or something. Checkout the 950 v 500 level winds to see the advancing upper trough. Its slow moving and collides nicely with a pretty good onshore feed. Certainly the Hunter should get a good drink tonight I think, but it should be a nice wet day right up the east from the Illawarra. Finally!!
