Very gloomy here with a moderate Southerly blowing, having picked up in the hour or so since I got up. It looks like rain, but according to the radar and the satellite, there's nothing happening anywhere nearby, it's all to the South. Nowra' had 38mm, so far this morning nothing North of Bellambi.

Down in the Gong on a visit from Buderim Qld. I used to live in Wombarra. Great to see the cloud base hugging the escarpment and coolness/bit of rain. Memories! I must have bought down some of the rain from SE Qld! U guys need it hey..

Imo it'll be better to wait a bit we'll get better convection and I believe more widespread rain.

It doesn't look like it's going to rain anytime soon. I think the BoM computer has over cooked it a little.
Just hoping the rain band can shift north but it's been sitting south for a while now and doesn't look like it's moving.

Patience Marts, patience. smile

Cool and windy here this morning. Fully overcast from low cloud. Very pleasant after yesterday's heat and humidity. Looking forward to the developing rain band.
Surprising that Bathurst is warmer this morning than anywhere in Sydney, but winds are still northerly out there.

Widespread areas of 25-50 mm's forecast today, extending out to the Central Tablelands and Central West Slopes. Hoping those folk out there and in the Hunter get their share.

Nice change from the Heat and Humidity, with the low cloud coverage.
Some very light Mizzle here atm, but that looks to be the extent of things.

Today now just looks like a typical cool, overcast, windy post-Southerly day of the sort that are normally a curse of Sydney Summers, but of which we've had far fewer the in last couple of seasons. I see the BOM have adjusted the forecast max across Sydney to 22, about what it is now. The change must have arrived earlier than expected.

There'll be no convection in Sydney today, although maybe there will be in the Hunter where Cessnock and Maitland are now over 30 degrees in sunshine.

The BOM are still expecting rain in Sydney, so something's going to have to develop overhead.

EDIT: Albion Park doing well with 12mm between 9:00 and 10:00.

Canberra has picked up 33.2 mm's since 9 am, on top of 19.6 mm's to 9.00 am. That's a nice fall.

Just arrived home from my cruise and getting the first shower of the event here. I'm so happy seeing it, beautiful.

Small drops but light to moderate. grin

The wind change has come through, not overly strong at this stage and has only knocked a couple of degrees of the top temp so far. Still very humid.

A bit of drizzle here in Penrith so far.

20-40mm is a courageous prediction. I am so used to no rain, or well under expectations.

What is the radar looking like?

Fingers crossed it buckets down.
