No i didn't watch the race, but would you believe, I backed the horse that came second, but initially i picked two, they ran 1st and 2nd, did you see what the quinella paid $1100. I will watch a replay later. Up to 9.3mm here, still 21c. Radar looking better now.

It hasn't stopped raining all day, sometimes light, sometimes a bit heavier but it has been constant. Up to 39mm now.

Fantastic rain and cold temps - loving it. Called this a few days ago and got rubnished for it - glad it came off. Bellambi AWS looks stuff - no way only 2.2mm recorded. Eascsrpment again would easily have got 100+ in the last 24 hours.
Loving today’s temp min 19 max 19 lol

Olympic Park the wettest site in the basin with 39.6mm as of 8:00pm another site to look out for is the Holsworthy (Defence ) right now at 38mm also and sitting at 165 metres could become one of the wettest in the City over the course of the year.

Seems like the rain helps work up a taste for some refreshments, Quagmelson. Just had a moderate downpour, beautiful. Still raining but not as heavily. Bankstown AWS seems to have had it's wettest day in quite some time. Still hasn't beat the 60.6 mm from June 8 2017, though!

The radar would have you believe the rain has left the Illawarra coast, but we have quite thick drizzle still keeping the gauge filling (apart from Bellambi...tee hee )

Are you a statistician btw I did study Maths and Statistics. I've always been a bit of a numbers nerd. On which subject, Sydney OH, now on 35mm, has had its wettest day since June 8 (when 61). I'd expect that most of Sydney is having its wettest day since June. There's more to come, it might make 50, maybe even pass 61, in which case it would be the wettest since February 8 last year. EDIT1: the lawns and gardens must be loving this. EDIT2: Cessnock on 25.2mm and building. Hopefully the 'bushrangers' are getting that. EDIT3: OH temp just shot up 2 degrees with the switch from SW to ESE..

Should be some good totals overnight hopefully. Yeah it stopped for a little while but it's heavier than it was in the few hours before the rain stopped, despite the rain looking lighter on radar. The northern suburbs would be getting some pretty heavy rain I reckon. PS: Temp now warmer than it's been all day right on the coast, thanks to the SEly onshore wind.

Must be something wrong with the Bellambi AWS. Can't surely be 4mm since 9am.
Interestingly Obs hill and Terrey hills are both tied at 49.6mm. Not often that happens on a significant rain day.
