It's beautiful weather, This is what our wet season is all about.
Watching the different levels interact and change is mesmerizing,
and seeing the creeks burst their banks and flush out the build up
of dead stuff.

Cheers

You lot in the “Mission Beach Hinterland”😜 have had some good showers.

Returned today via East Feluga Rd, as the main road was cut. Water everywhere.
Only 43mm out here. Perfect really. Enough water to keep things green without the flooding.

Stay dry

Looks to have all slipped south, could be all done for Cairns. I scored about 40mm for the whole event. Areas north and south did much better.

Night time is when we generally do better with rain and last night on the beaches was barely worth commenting on.

Wow MAP did better than CAP overnight. All beit by 0.6mm but still, that is unusual for this kind of event.
About 18mm here.

Edit: should see a bit of an increase in Tinaroo. Some ok falls in the catchment. Dam level reading seems to be stuck on the sunwater website though.

Not sure the alert in Sth Mission is working all that well. Says we have had 5mm the last hour. Haven’t been able to see the back fence since 6am. Teeming down here. Will check the gauge when I get a chance.

Up to 26mm now. The line just to the north of Mareeba has me lined up for a while by the looks of it.

130mm up here Nice but not what I was hoping for. Think they might have jumped the gun on the flood warning for Daintree.

So good to see rain in the inland areas.

Cheers
