Could not agree more, looking at a week of mid 20s here, which is more springlike or mid to late autumn, so something to look forward to this week.

Still a chance for storms here, but more likely for the upper Hunter. Southerly hasn't hit here as yet, hopefully it stalls south of the bay.

Southerly looks to be a shallow one.

Southerly is not far away now, can see plenty of scud to the south.

Could see a couple of towers to the west too!! Could be an interesting arvo for the Hunter.

Very warm this morning when I woke up. My PWS recorded a high of 32.2, but that has steadily been decreasing as the southerly arrived. Currently sitting at 24.4.

The Hunter looks like it is for some decent storms as there are cells popping up all over inland. One can only hope they reach the coast.

the first round did everything to avoid us... standard!!
tracked north and also formed a good shower to the east.

See how we go with the second lot. There is a moderate southerly, but it isnt cold. Anvil cloud make it quite dark. Would be nice to get a little follow up in the bank. Ground is dry again already.

Looks like the Met would only be a very slim chance today. I'd say we are about the southern most extent likely to get something, but hey stranger things have happened.

Here's what our part of the world looks like on layers. There's a chain of storms marching across the Hunter. Hopefully some of these pass over Gringos and Stormy.

There's nothing much hapening further South. It's been 8/8 overcast here with low cloud since mid morning, but it looks like Western and Southern Sydney are sunny.

There is some development in the Blue Mountains that might reach Sydney's West but it will probably fully apart when it reaches the cool, stable air mass over Sydney.

we'll see how it goes.

Where's the Himawari-8 infrared setting on layers? I just had a look and can't seem to find it.

I reckon there is instability in the southerlies, because on the radar there are some storms far out at sea.

It's only available on Weatherzone Pro I think. It's on the 'Radar and Maps' tab, appearing directly below the 'Radar' link.

Yeah, rather disappointing mate. Although, there seems to be a a bit of rain heading directly towards my area. Highly doubt we'll get much out of it though as the heavy hitters are further up the north coast and inland.
