Had a 1mm from that thundery anvil junk, can not see any structure with all this scud about.

I'm liking whats approaching Maitland, hoping that holds or intensify.

No wind whatsoever, very humid, 23c after a top of 30c.

Getting a lot of thunder here too mate. Layers is suggesting it will pass over us relatively quickly. My PWS has only picked up 0.3mm so far, but it's steadily getting heavier so I'll be interested to see what the totals will be.

I was up at Dungog yesterday, still very dry up there, bit of a green tinge on some hills, they largely missed out on last weeks rain according to locals.

Well i think its safe to crack a few beers now!!

Anytime a good time for a beer Eddy.

We had a small cell develop just off the coast here about an hour ago, which gave us some nice rumbles and a short lived downpour, 3.1mm so far from this afternoon/evening activity.

Hi guys,

We had a Hailstrom just at 2:30pm. Receive some inch size hail and gushing wind. Received half an inch of rain in 10mins and then the sun came out. We pruned a few top heavy geisha girls trees, just put the cuttings on the burn pile, got the mower and trailer into the shed then the rain has followed on from then on from 4pm. At the moment we have just over 30mm 😁😁

But we have no power to have a shower. 😔

Strange sort of a day, but not atypical for summer
Got to 33C early, before a sea breeze came in at lunch time, around 1220pm. Temp then hovered around 30C.
Unusual to get a sea breeze this far inland, but definitely was one, could even smell it.
Then the temp dropped with the approaching storm.
Luckily we did get some rain out it, 7.4mm at Maitland Airport, although I suspect we got more at home than there.

Great to see the parched upper Hunter get some more rain Pabo. Hopefully no major hail damage.
Good you got some precip too Derek. Was one of those licorice allsorts days to day.
Rain moved on real quick. No storm. Just some lightish rain for a bit..

J Pabo sounds like you had some fun. I saw some footage on NBN news, hopefully no major damage done?

Just some late-night research, whopping deficiencies for 6 months when my side of town decided to turn semi-arid.

Very mild night yet again. Don't think there has been a night at or below the average min so far this March. Grey sky but dry.

Interesting numbers A2A. Running my eye down those numbers, it looks like Sydney's West and South received about 50% of its average rainfall over a six month period, with Darkes Forest (between Appin and the coast) on barely a quarter (110 years of record). Shorter record stations seem to have a higher proportion, suggesting lower falls in recent years.

------

Mild and humid with solid 8/8 low cloud after another warm night, currently just off the minimum at about 21-22. I don't think it will get much warmer but it will feel cooler as the wind picks up. No sign of any rain, but we might get a bit of drizzle.

Warm, clammy nights, cool windy days, no sun, no rain. My least favourite weather.
