Looking good for something in Tinaroo catchment. I hope it becomes more widespread.

Gawd what a backflip on today's forecast, this morning it was like high to very high chance etc, particularly about the cassowary coast. Not a drop all day. Glad I looked out the window.

Wonder if our forecasts have been suffering of late due to the (not sure if it is still ongoing) industrial action at the BoM.
Old mate on abc radio the other day did his own read out of the BoM's forecasts as the guy he got on the phone was apparentley not even familiar with our geographical location!

After dark tonight Ron. Building out back of the islands now on the radar.

I am in Mackay, so we are sure to get a drop.

Yep, exactly the same here, 65mm.
The day before was a brilliant day, but Sunday it poured for about 2hrs solid and 80mm was recorded for the 24hrs.

Looks like we could be getting a bit of rain. Hopefully we get a bit in the catchment.

Another 22mm in the gauge this morning.
Lovely going to sleep last night to rain that was going to keep up for a while, and not disappear after 30 minutes.

Nice C@28.
Not much here lately, just the odd shower. Heard Dimbulah had 175mm in 5 hours yesterday. The James Creek Bridge on Wolfram road is no more. I think another bridge was washed away too.

Should be some decent falls in some places over the next few days, 200-300+mm.

Not surprised about that. Was it during the day, or the wide band of rain that went through last night that gave us the 22mm?

For goodness sakes - its a very wet place here today. Emptied the gauge at midnight - 120mm and I'm thinking maybe I should do it again even though it holds 150mm.
The radar shows we have still got a bit of weather to go through yet too.
South Johnstone only had 67mm at midnight, they have been beating us the last couple of days but Utchee is back with a vengeance tonight!
Wishing I could send the rain over to you Cold@28!
