I'm thinking you and I might both crack that 1000mm or come pretty bloody close,RF.

Seems to be taking a more easterly movement each run so we should see some great falls in the coming days

I had a metre in March the year I moved there in White Rock. Was the only time in 8 years I topped a metre.

11mm so far today. More than BOM forecast for today already so happy with that. Resigned myself to the fact I will loose my Wampi tree so just want an awesome fall now.
Will we see an increase in forecast falls now Nora is suppose to make landfall higher up the cape?

8.5mm from yesterday and overnite.
Light sprinkle earlier this afternoon, but nothing to walk out to the gauge for.

Nora is looking interesting, and so is Iris.

We've had water restrictions since October, so hoping they don't take off in opposite directions taking all the moisture with them.

My top 5 are:
Feb 15 - 718.4mm G'vale
Jan 09 - 895.6mm BPark
Feb 09 - 986mm BPark
Feb 11 - 1006.2mm BPark
March 12 - 1123.2mm BPark

So this month has knocked off 5th place.

*the only 2 wetter starts to the year were:
2011 - 2009.6mm
2012 1770.4mm - which should be beaten by end of the month.
2008 may have been wetter as only started records on 17/2 and had 1447mm by end of March.

Perhaps a useful convergence for Townsville and a ricochet for the boys on Mornington Island...

I know Nora was a 3, even though she struggled. Anyone else surprised (or actually not surprised) by the lack of coverage on this? Even this morning, nothing on the TV about it. I know its an area of low density population, but something tells me if this was anywhere else but the west coast of Cape York - we'd hear a lot more about it.

Nice dormant.
Rain does not seem to be able to push past Mt Carbine Julatten, Port Douglas. Hopefully this next lot can cross the line.

Tinaroo has crossed the 75% mark. I think that means the irrigators get their full allocation??

Yeah I believe that is right Weary.

Only had 1.4mm since midnight. Looks like it will start to rain again very shortly.

How wet do people think today and tomorrow will be?

Just put the solar night lights out in a break in the weather and emptied gauge, a bit late in the morning for me, usually do it around 6am - 120mm.
Yeah, I know, solar? today? :))

105mm overnight - 1094mm for March.

Haven't hardly seen the sun for weeks, feeling Vitamin D deprived....and melodramatic.

Was in Western Victoria for a week for my sons wedding, autumnal weather and bushfires to the south due to lightning strikes. Very low humidity as you would expect, paddocks bare and gum trees. Quite a contrast.
