Nice Scott. Some awesome totals down your way. Can't wait to see your totals tomorrow morning

Up to 19mm now. Unexpected. I hope the rain keeps making it over the range for the remainder of this event.

Huge falls between Tully and Gordonvale, flood warnings have now been issued for the upper Herbert River and Tully/Murray rivers.

Should be quite an interesting 24 hrs for the NTC.

You beat us Scott12, 207mms here - couldn't wait till 9am.
Must have eased off after 1.30 last night as the creek was higher than it is now.
Hoping, for selfish reasons the rain doesn't get too biblical - partner has to get home from the mines down south Thursday night and Monday we have a plane to catch in Cairns - son's wedding in Victoria.
The drainage around here is awesome - 8" and I can still walk around the place.

No, unfortunately. Even that first 25mm yesterday eve was extremely quick.

Looks like your Ant forecast worked a treat YS...lol..

An extra inch on your side of the hill must have made all the difference... the creek here didn't come up that high and it was crossable by vehicle this morning.....water over the main roads downstream between El arish/Mission beach and Tully/Mission beach though..

What do the Ants say for tonight, YS..?

Simmo most of the rain is up cairns and north today by the looks of the radar..I wonder if it will push inland at all before this little event is over..?

This afternoon/night could be a goer for Cairns and north of Cairns, gauging by the current radar action
