13mm overnight. Nice fall early this morning, and just enough to keep me off the poison bottle.

Nil, and nothing in sight for several days.

Goes to show a murraya hedge full of flowers means nothing, except maybe they're terrified of being hacked back like the other two fence lines.

16.9c this morning. Ceiling fan off and blankets back on the bed. Was nice to have a solid nights sleep.

Looking like beautiful weather this week. Will give me a chance to get out and do some jobs like mowing the grass that wants to grow at 2 inches per day.

Models keep pushing the low a little further north, skipping over the cape. EC and GFS seem to be agreeing crazy at the moment with CMC still going for a low north of Cairns. Probably not much rain if EC and GFS come to pass.

I thought La Nina was a dead thing 2 months ago, seems the child has new life of late, growing pains lol. The north finds some wet action a bit like was known in decades past

Weary: You're right, Woolworths restocked and glad we were to find it out today. Also while that stuff moved north we were saved from your downpours - had I not been to Mossman I'd have started the mowing, as Simmo says, 2 inches a day smile

The MJO pulse is not too far away now.Maybe in a weeks time we'll get another drop.
Tinaroo is at 70.3% at 17:00hrs, so I imagine the bulk of the inflow has happened.

9mm overnight.

Nice drive up to Mossman today, bit of water still laying around and all the creeks and rivers look like they have had a decent pump. Up the tablelands tomorrow it seems because I don’t want to be part of the throng going through to Townsville, I will leave that trip until Wednesday.

I've had a flanny shirt on 4 nights in a row.
It's felt like a seasonal change since last Wed.
Maybe a full on blue sky day might make it feel back to normal.

Been sleeping with two blankets for a while, but added a light third a week ago. Probably time for the doona.

I see Tinaroo now at 71.83%, so the inflow must be all but over.
If we get another wet spell with the approaching MJO pulse, and the catchment gets some of it,- Sunwater are going to be happy chappies with plenty to sell during the next dry.

Looking pretty wet over the northern parts of Australia in the next 7 days. We should see some reasonable rain from about Sunday.

Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland

This Flood Watch provides early advice of possible flooding within the specified catchments.
Initial Flood Watch for coastal catchments between Ingham and Daintree

Issued at 11:58 am EST on Thursday 15 March 2018

Flood Watch Number: 1

Minor flooding is possible in the Flood Watch area during Sunday and into next week.

Following recent heavy rainfall and flooding in parts of the Flood Watch area, catchments are primed and river levels may respond more quickly than normal.

Moderate to heavy falls are expected from early Sunday morning through to Tuesday, mainly along the coast. The heavier rainfall is expected to fall between Cairns and Daintree.

The rainfall totals forecast are not expected to be as significant as those recorded during recent rainfall.

River level rises above the minor flood level are possible in the catchments across the Flood Watch area during Sunday and into next week.

Catchments likely to be affected include:
Daintree River

Mossman River

Barron River

Mulgrave and Russell Rivers

Johnstone River

Tully River

Murray River

Herbert River
