Well there was never an event here. We've yet to reach 15mm this month with no end to the dry. Cool and misty this week with a tiny bit of drizzle. Not enough to keep pastures growing.

A very unsavoury thought. Just when you think heat is finished over extended periods it storms back.

The 'event' seems to be over here, having retreated to the mid-North Coast, where a severe weather warning for heavy rain is still active.

Today was mostly cloudy, with a light shower around lunch time in Chatswood. It looks like it might be starting to clear. Top temps across Sydney were 22-25, again tending warmer near the coast.

Event totals (mm):

Sydney AP: 34
Chatswood: 27
Bankstown: 19
Parramatta: 46
Penrith----: 19

There were some heavy falls on the upper North Shore but data isn't on-line yet. But over most of Sydney, it was just 'normal' rain. OH and much of Sydney is tracking for average falls for this month, although the South West is still lagging. Bankstown missed most of the falls early in the month and sits on 36 mm (mtd), about half of what would be expected by this point in March.

The forecast maxima for the coming week looks like January, although there are cooler nights late in the forecast period. Serious heat should be finished for the season.

There is a big mass of cloud coming down the Queensland coast all the way from that cyclone in the gulf there looks like another cyclone in the coral sea moving west as well by the looks, there is a lot of action around.

Well that sux. Cloud and rain has been great the last few days.

But that heat just comes roaring back so easily. Surely the upcoming forecasts are overcooking it a bit? Almost April and still so easily getting 34-35 degree temps?

Since this thread is still relevant.
There appears to be some storm still popping up this afternoon to the South and West of Sydney.
This is appears to be in tangent with the BSCH forecast.
