Well this event is defin starting to develop - almost gale force sw'erlies here now and quite warm/humid, which is unusual. Sad that we won't get anything - coastal troughs are defin great for heavy rainfall, the type needed to replenish dams etc

Ohh and what a storm that was near the northern beaches this morning!! They are a bunch of muppets the bureau that sometimes need to stick their heads occasionally out of the cocoon office bld they live in and make forecasts that actually have some sense and sensibility about them!!

Definitely worth looking @ the latest model runs, show some big rains for at least the Blueys as the trough digs in. Could see some big totals there, potentially less for the coast but still looking decent to me. Wait and see and watch in real time for this one now smile

Sunny, warm and humid, with a moderate Southerly and drifting fluffy white clouds here, about 27.

EDIT: an initial flood watch has been issued (minor & local flooding) for catchments from the Central Coast to the Manning.

Decent chunky Cu rolling in off the Tasman now, radar shows some heavy showers offshore decaying as the stream hits land. Still warm and humid which is unusual for a se'erly.

Showers standing up as they hit the coast now; some moderate - heavy falls being reported around the place. Nice start!

Unusual formation on the 128km Newie radar east of Newcastle. Looks like a dog side on. To me anyway

More than warm enough, got to 30C, and quite muggy.
Might be a good time to wash the car now, before the deluge begins!
