Some nice little accumulations from these showers which as far as I can tell are expected to persist through to the weekend.

Always going to be some places that get a lot more or less than others when there's heavy showers. I only got 10mm here.

Just squaring the ledger a bit here. As we tend to miss out mostly from thunderstorm heavier falls due to the sea breeze effect, we usually make up the numbers with onshore falls.

A coastal trough is combining with a decent onshore flow to produce showers along the coast and the adjacent ranges. In the far south of the region (the northern MNC and adjacent parts of the NTs), it is already helping to bring pockets of moderate to heavy rain/showers (some accompanied by lightning/thunder) and there are signs that heavy to perhaps locally very heavy falls could occur tomorrow. Showers or rain patches, possibly locally moderate to heavy, should persist into Friday and Saturday, mainly along the coast south of the border. Severe Weather Warning for Heavy Rainfall is current for pretty much all of the Mid North Coast and southeastern areas of the Northern Tablelands. With the warning noting that: - Heavy rain / possible flash flooding is expected to move up into northern parts of the Mid North Coast and eastern parts of the Northern Tablelands tomorrow, where 100 to 200mm falls are expected. - Some locations could receive more than 200mm in a 24 hour period. - Very heavy rainfall, with rainfall rates exceeding 70mm in one hour, are also possible with thunderstorms. Link to SWW: http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDN21037.shtmlReceived 22.4mm here in the 24hrs to 9am from two surprise early morning storms which came ashore with a little bit of lightning/thunder in each of them. 5.0mm since 9am, mostly from a sharp shower. Infrequent thunder has been heard during this afternoon/evening. Elsewhere in the local region since 9am, there's been a number of 30-75mm falls in the area between Port Macquarie and Bowraville.

36.2mm in the 24hrs to 9am here. Just a touch too far north for the heavier stuff, with Seven Oaks only 12-13kms to our southwest getting 108mm over the same time. The highest totals in the 24hrs to 9am on the northern MNC reported from BOM's gauges so far are: 168mm Mt Seaview 160mm Comboyne Pub School 145mm Comboyne 128mm Kerewong 122mm Upper Rollands PlainsThe SWW for Heavy Rain for the MNC and southeastern NTs remains current: http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDN21037.shtmlThe overnight rain did push us past our March average (184.2mm) and a little over the 200mm mark for the month to date.

Nice! Pretty close to what I got. 33.8mm in my gauge till 9am this morning and 4.3mm since. We've fared differently since 9 though, it rained moderate to heavily in this part of town for about 45 minutes (approx 9:30 to 10:15am). Almost all of the 29.8mm since 9am fell during it. Flood Watch has moved northward to cover almost all MNC rivers in latest update: Flood Watch for the New South Wales Mid North Coast from Bulahdelah to Coffs Harbour Issued at 10:19 am EDT on Thursday 22 March 2018 Flood Watch Number: 4 Heavy rain about the New South Wales Coast from the Mid North Coast and parts of the Northern Tablelands from Thursday onwards has the potential to cause local and riverine flooding. A low pressure trough lies off the northern parts of the New South Wales coast. The trough is directing very moist and unstable onshore winds bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms across the Mid North Coast and parts of the Northern Tablelands districts. This may lead to local and riverine flooding. A Severe Weather Warning has been issued for the Mid North Coast and parts of the Northern Tablelands Forecast Districts The weather system is likely to bring heavy rainfall and has the potential to cause local overland flooding as well riverine flooding from Thursday onwards. Catchments likely to be affected include:
Coffs Coast (local flooding) Bellinger and Kalang Rivers (minor to moderate flooding) Nambucca River (minor flooding) Macleay River (local flooding) Hastings River (minor flooding) Camden Haven River (local flooding) Manning River (minor flooding) Wallis Lake (local flooding) Myall River (local flooding) Karuah River (local flooding) Link: http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/wrap_fwo.pl?IDN36503.html

I think that may be down to the fact that my rain gauge seems to have gone offline seems that between 9-10 am it has died and is not showing up any more, it recorded that 4.3mm at some stage in that time and then that was it - slightly annoying.

50.4mm since 9am here. After the morning mod-heavy rain period, there have been occasional mod-heavy showers passing through. Since 9am today, the wettest areas have been around Kempsey, with Boonanghi leading on 152mm and other gauges (including the Kempsey AWS) receiving over 100mm. A minor flood warning is current for the Hastings River: http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/warnings/flood/hastingsriver.shtmlModerate to heavy rain/showers should continue about the northern MNC and adjacent parts of the NTs tomorrow. I think that may be down to the fact that my rain gauge seems to have gone offline seems that between 9-10 am it has died and is not showing up any more, it recorded that 4.3mm at some stage in that time and then that was it - slightly annoying. Damn, not the best timing for that to happen.

Damn, not the best timing for that to happen. No not at all, but I spoke with my brother and the good news I guess is that it isn't my weather station, their internet connection is playing up, sucks that it had to be today but I have my sister keeping a close eye on her manual gauge but other end of town (she is out near coles) - her readings so far are 25mm overnight last night and then 55mm since 9am this morning but that was earlier today. Still fairly close to the numbers you are getting.
