Just borrowed the last column on the weekly rainfall bulletin and filled in the 3 day totals (only rained on the last 3 days)

Some pretty damn good falls

163.4mm here in the 24hrs to 9am. Rain continued and became more frequent during the night and into this morning with heavy to very heavy rain at times, some embedded storm activity around too.
Widespread 24hr to 9am falls of over 100mm on the northern MNC. The heaviest falls were concentrated around the Kempsey area (Boonanghi's 302mm being the highest 24hr to 9am fall). The coastal fringe of the Coffs Coast received substantially less rain than elsewhere (e.g. 25mm at Coffs, 3mm at Woolgoolga).

SWW for Heavy Rain remains current for the MNC and southeastern NTs. There are a number of flood warnings too:
Minor to Major flood warning for the Hastings River (major @ Kindee Bridge, moderate @ Wauchope, minor @ Port Macquarie) http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/warnings/flood/hastingsriver.shtml
Moderate flood warning for the Nambucca River http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/warnings/flood/nambuccariver.shtml
Minor flood warning for the Macleay River http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/warnings/flood/macleayriver.shtml
Minor flood warning for the Bellinger River http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/wrap_fwo.pl?IDN36604.html
Minor flood warning for the Camden Haven River http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/warnings/flood/camdenhavenriver.shtml

The Oxley Highway is closed by flooding at Long Flat.

P.S. Nice work Befour.

163.4mm is pretty decent! what does that take your 3 day total to?

It was the 16th March last year when Smoky recorded 180mm, monthly total for that month was 459.8 (at smoky) wonder if it can be beaten this year? haha.

I see the good old railway underpass that leads on to Kemp street in Kempsey is flooded as per usual.
That thing should nearly be classed as an estuary with how often it holds water.

The three-day total here is 222mm (22.4 + 36.2 + 163.4).
I had 501.6mm in March last year, but I don't expect it be beaten by this March unless the next 24hrs or so are somewhat wetter than forecast.

Sherwood Bridge is under there, I promise (Bellbrook, Toorooka, Temagog and Turners Flat bridges are also closed)

I was just looking at the Sherwood bridge flood cam haha.

501.6mm, awesome! Sometimes I think it is a shame that the closest site to SWR is at Smoky as it can be vastly different to what you get in town - boxing day for instance, I think you recorded something along the lines of 230mm? I got 243mm and my pop got about 250mm yet Smoky only recorded 102mm.
It is a shame Fishermans reach is no longer recording, they stopped middle of last year for some reason.

My rain gauge is back online and I've registered 14mm in the last 15 mins. Seems it is still raining pretty well there.

For most of today it's been occasional steady rain here, but over the past 90 minutes there has been heavy rain at times. 54.0mm since 9am.
Elsewhere, most places receiving between 25-70mm falls so far today on the northern MNC.

Expecting the rain/showers to eventually ease and pretty much clear here by late morning tomorrow. I think any afternoon precip that may form in the lingering instability will remain inland of here.

Yeah, I've learned not to take too much notice of it these days. Typical exposed lighthouse site, nearly always under-reads when it's breezy/windy.
I'm guessing the manual gauge observer at Fishermans Reach has had a change of circumstance at some point during last winter, and so readings are no longer being submitted to BOM.

And the heavy rain at times continues, now up to 92.8mm since 9am.

29.2mm event total for the past 3 days at Salisbury. Not as much as others have received, but this shower activity starts to add up nicely....the lawn mower will be getting a good workout today, the grass is going crazy.

Wynnum Nth 24 hour rain 0.2mm.

Event total 78.0mm

Also noting new TC Iris near the Solomons heading SW so far. Like Linda the northern arm of the STJ should curve it away to the SE. This time however the STJ is not as strong as when Linda was around.

Ended up getting 107.0mm in the 24hrs to 9am this morning. Close to 85mm of that fell in the four hours between 9pm yesterday and 1am today. The rain eased very quickly after 1am, with only some drizzle falling afterwards.

An event total of 329.0mm here (22.4 + 36.2 + 163.4 + 107.0), which definitely exceeded my expectations.

The SWW was cancelled this morning, and all rivers have fallen back below minor flood level.

I've checked Smoky's rainfall page and that's been reported in as two-day total, which is why it hasn't appeared on today's rain/river conditions map with the other gauges.
So therefore, the wettest 24hr to 9am totals at BOM gauges were:
120mm Redoak
113mm Woolgoolga
101mm Port Macquarie Airport

My mum took these yesterday.
Crescent Head Road closed by flooding (alternate route via Loftus Rd was still open but adds about 20kms to the trip between Crescent Head and Kempsey) -

Crossing the Macleay Valley Bridge on the Kempsey Bypass
Land inundated

A swollen Macleay River

More inundation near Clybucca

And closer to South West Rocks

Event totals over 250mm on the northern MNC:
Click to reveal..

Hastings Valley
431.2mm Mt Seaview
349mm Upper Rollands Plains
344mm Comboyne Pub School
335.2mm Birdwood
328.2mm Comboyne
314mm Maria River
287mm Redoak
261mm Port Macquarie Airport
250mm Long Flat

Macleay Valley
427mm Boonanghi
381mm Collombatti
356.5mm Seven Oaks
336mm Turners Flat
333.5mm Wittitrin
322mm South West Rocks (Me)
297mm Kempsey Airport
Had the rain been focussed a little further north and therefore been heavier in the more central parts like Bellbrook (which got 148mm) then the Macleay would've had a proper flood.

Nambucca Valley
285mm Taylors Arm
